1. and Ray Brown (OK, so that makes three but they are all different in style and approach) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKMTcA2UuFg
2. Scott Lafaro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rARGPAkIcw4 and Danny Thompson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohmSPv-rtSQ
3. Isn't this a wrongly labelled Jazz from NKRG as well? Says its a 1960 reissue but looks like a regular AV62RI to me???? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-JAZZ-BASS-STACK-KNOB-SLAB-REISSUE-1960-VINTAGE-PRE-CBS-REISSUE-/390578611816?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item5af04ca668#ht_640wt_1111
4. Sorry to hear that Keith but hopefully something good awaits round the corner
5. I suspect this will be a fruitless thread as everyone wants to buy a TH500 and noone wants to sell (apart from to buy a bigger Aguilar it would seem!) Once and only bump from me before I get back in my box
6. Dan bought my Catalinbread SFT pedal. Super fast payment and the usual friendly comms from Dan
7. Dave bought a Pedaltrain Nano effects board and bag from me. Superfast no-nonsense deal. All good
8. BC's Jigster is in a band called Those Among Us Are Wolves. They play post-rock style, sonic landscapes ... and very good they are too. They have just released their first EP. I downloaded it this morning. Really good stuff and worth £3 of anyone's money. http://thoseamongstusarewolves.bandcamp.com/
9. £35 if handed over in person in London (I work nr Liverpool St, live nr Hammersmith)
10. If I can make it (60% sure I can) I will bring along my 1963 Precision. Like its owner, its nearly 50 years old, overweight and vintage white (haired in my case) ...
11. I have a near-mint condition Euphonic Audio Micro 550 head which I would be interested in trading for an Aguilar Tone Hammer TH500 head with a £50+ top-up from me. My amp is in excellent condition and I have bought a short jack-to-XLR cable (so it can be used for DI) and a neoprene padded sleeve/gigbag. Anyone interested? Here's specs from BassDirect website: http://www.bassdirec...ts/EA_Amps.html PS, I am only interested in this specific trade, not a sale (I'm conscious there are already two other Micro 550s for sale on BC)
12. Agreed, and I hope the fleas have departed, icastle . I think my cats are now their new home Yes, so I've had a few. Couldn't help it after bigjohn claimed Suarez only pretended to bite Ivanovic. At that point I figured we were all disappearing into a singularity and the only thing to do was drink
13. Nice one matey! Celestial Basschat harmony is restored
14. BTW, your photo links don't work
15. As new, never used. Has two rolls of velcro in the gigbag. £49 at Andertons, your for £40 posted. http://www.andertons...ltrain-nano.asp
16. As it says in title. Some people swear by the Monte Allum modification. Pedal has seen some use (some scrapes and bashes) but 100% functional hence £40 posted
17. Very good condition Catalinbread SFT pedal bought a couple of months back from the forum for £90 posted (link here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200105-price-drop-catalinbread-sft/page__p__1993402__hl__sft__fromsearch__1#entry1993402. Tried it and its not what I was after, so I've literally played it for less than an hour. Hence hoping to get £90 posted too
18. Guitar Guitar have one coming in for £3,999 http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=13012210272519
19. I wouldn't take the two threads mentioned in the OP as anything other than specific to the individuals involved. I don't think they represent the wider opinion of the membership at all. I've said many times that I try to stay out of Off Topic as it tends to wind me up (thats my fault, I fully recognise, for taking things too personally) - thats said I'm not sure OT has been any more controversial recently than at various other points in the past few years
