  4. My goth/post-punk band The InSect are headlining an evening in Southend on Friday, in case anyone is in the area and fancies a listen.
  5. Any BCers in/around Southend fancy some live goth/post-punk music action on Friday? My band, The InSect, is headlining. Details below

Not really my wheelhouse Clarky, but if I wasn't already gigging I'd struggle down the road to see ya.

      Break a leg a.k.a. GLWTS(how)

  6. Stunning short scale bass from one of the hottest luthiers around. Was made as a one-off special with Aguilar to highlight the Aguilar ceramic P pickup. Capri orange nitro finish with racing stripes. Very light (weighs roughly 7.0 pounds) and in vgc. Only selling to defray cost of a vintage Mustang bass I have acquired which performs the same role (so no trades). Comes with fab Serek padded gig bag. To buy new would be about $3200 and - allowing for post and import duty - would mean about the same figure in pounds. So, at my reduced price of £2200, mine saves about a third and - as stated - is in vgc. Collect SW London or post at cost, as agreed with buyer. Various pics below (mine and Serek website) and a live video of it in action.
  7. Bought a lovely '73 Mustang bass from Chris. As with my multiple previous feedback comments, always a pleasure to do business with!
  8. £25 discount (£875) if I keep the TI flats and swap for the nickel rounds that were on the bass when it came from BassDirect (not sure what brand, yellow silks?)
  9. Need to fund an incoming bass 🙄 .... hence final price drop to a bargain £900 including TI flat strings. If postage needed, will be at cost and as agreed with buyer
  10. Thanks Chris, I will need to do some sums but WANT! My left forefinger is still pretty b*ggered from the accident but a bit better, thanks, and with physio I can at least play a bass in my usual agricultural style! Fretting in the lower positions is trickier, as I discovered when I bought a P bass and a J bass not so long ago, thinking I was on the mend - hence I think in the interests of expediency and life being too short, I am going back to mainly focus on short scale basses (plus my vintage Ric as it looks cool).
  11. Thats gorgeous Chris. Erm, what does it weigh?
  12. I didn't go to see Genesis on their last tour precisely because of the decline in Phil Collin's voice - and that's despite the huge nostalgia draw for me (my fave band in mid/late 70s and my first ever gig, Earls Court 1977). But I am just one opinion and clearly from the BC thread during the tour, loads of fellow BassChatters loved it. Its not for me to tell them they are wrong! In short, I don't think aging musos should hang up their boots unless they want to, even if their musical abilities noticeably decline. Besides, they can still use studio trickery to sound good (take a listen to new Judas Priest single Panic Attack and you wouldn't think Rob Halford has lost any of his startling voice and range)
  13. OK, cheapest on BC. £160 posted within UK. You won't find valvier goodness for less spondulix
  14. Try me with an offer. I don't need two preamp/DI pedals and the Bassrig has more functionality, even if this sounds (unsurprisingly) more authentically valvey
