    Sorry Chris but i am calling my relationship quits with Ricks. Break to my left hand a couple of years ago (which means I cramp up with narrow necks) has done for me - its Precisions and double basses for me (mainly ...)!

    Thank you gents, didn't think of altering the endpin ... and I have slightly shifted the bridge (as to my eyes it was off-centre) prior to it going to Malcolm Healey so between these I may have a solution. Fingers crossed! And thanks again

    I got my old German flatback from being repaired by Malcolm Healey a week or two back and have been playing it like mad since then. Just one thing annoys me a bit (not a lot, as Paul Daniels would say) and thats a buzz from somewhere in the body when I hit the open 'A'. The harder I hit the string the louder the buzz. Doesn't happen on any other note (open or fingered) and I've checked the soundpost (solid as a rock) and the various seams (all glued). Its difficult to pinpoint where its coming from, just somewhere vaguely in the body. Is this a problem others have encountered and what did you do about it, if anything? Cheers Clarky PS, I could of course take it back to Malcolm but its a c2 hour round trip each time I deliver and collect

    I bought a fretless U-bass a few months ago on a whim but it just sits in its cute little padded case un-played as I have been concentrating on double bass and more recently my 5-string bass. Someone else should have fun with this. Its in very good condition (no point taking a pic as its looks just like a stock one) and the advantage of buying it second hand rather than new is the rubbery strings have stretched somewhat and so don't go (quite as) quickly out of tune!     Euphonic Audio Wizzy 12 cab, served me well for gigs over the past year but surplus to requirements now I have an Acoustic Image Ten2 combo. Good condition with custom padded EA cover. I paid a bargain £200 from BC's BB2000 (aka John) and added the cover at a cost of £30 from an eBay seller. Will sell for £200 collected (London, I live nr Hammersmith ) or £220 posted.     I used to own this and can confirm its a beautiful, one-off bass. Has the fabulous AC preamp (passive/active) and a slick neck. Super nice bass
