1. Apologies, Ad - only just got around to listening to this. Superbly well recorded and cracking slab of Cortina rock (copyright Clarky)! I agree with 51m0n about the Jam-like bass (and that this is a good thing) and there's nearly a bass solo near the end of NMYH. Looking forward to the difficult second, jazz-rock album
2. John bought a Lollar pickup from me. Great transaction, like the guys above said
3. Cheers 51m0n! Praise indeed given your skills in the studio, as evidenced by the Kit Richardson EP

Cool, Mike! I would love to do a NSFW video
5. Cheers Ad and Nige! I didn't expect it to be everyone's cup of rosy lea but I am proud of my playing on it, especially when you look at the pedigree of some of the other dudes on the track (Santana, Kanye etc)
6. Anyone else care to listen and comment? Warning: its not voodoo swampy or punk/metal and its very radio-friendly, so its very different to my usual repertoire. Still good though IMHO
7. To recoup some funds after outgoings on various things (notably costs associated with stolen car), I want to sell one of - my Herbie Flowers replica Jazz made by BC's talented luthier Wes Steed. Its a wonderful bass with Rotosound TruBass trings on for a real DB vibe and is a great copy of the iconic bass used on Walk on the Wild Side and Space Oddity (missing only the original's fuzz switch). £1400 ono - or my '53 Relic P bass, which I bought from BC's Rick's Fine '52. £750 ono. If I sell this, as its less money, I will also move on some amp gear Each are collected/meet-up only from London. When one sells the other comes off sale
8. Thank you Roger. Its a pretty bad day in the Clarky household
9. As our car was nicked last night, I will not be buying any new gear and may be selling some stuff. This search is off
10. Putting this search on hold as I investigate other alternatives
11. Thx Marvin but it's conus only, if it's the one I think you mean with the backpack
12. Just sold a cute red Phil Jones Bass Cub to Jas. Our squillion-th deal and smooth as ever
13. Just sold Chris back the acoustic bass he sold to me, in our latest typically smooth BC-friendly deal. Yeah, I know you've heard it all before zzzzzzzz
14. Thanks Roger! I emailed Laurence, albeit about a different matter, yesterday and not heard back from him yet - so I guess he's not around right now. WIll ask when he comes back to me
15. I have a Wizzy 12 and like it a lot. Just wanted a smaller, slightly more portable version for acoustic bass (my Takamine B10)
16. That bad, eh? They are in stock at BassDirect but £450 for a 10" cab is pretty hefty (I just sold my Phil Jones combo for £350 ....)
17. Washington - The Mighty Wah! and Wah heat!
18.
A lot of the CS stuff is beautiful. I just wish someone, somewhere, would start making tort like they used to way back when. The new stuff jars my anorak a little bit.
I know its a bit OT but this lot make really good repro celluloid guards (I have one on my 63P) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/62-64-Fender-Jazz-pickguard-celluloid-Nitrate-/200635187569?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item2eb6ca0171
19. Also posted in Marketplace Items Wanted but thought this might get spotted more easily by Wizzy owners in the DB forum http://basschat.co.uk/topic/157574-wanted-ea-wizzy-10-cab/page__pid__1400150#entry1400150
20. Got some strings from Howard. Lovely jubbly, always
21. FYI, it asks for a password when you click on the pics link
22. Oi! Keep me out of this. I am on a mission to reduce my bass gear arsenal right now, in any case (1 acoustic bass, 1 amp and, err, 1 pickup sold in last week)
23. Apologies for jocular intermission - I am also in the camp that thinks your bass is bl**dy gorgeous and I bet its gone within a very few days
24. OK, hands up! Who saw Lysdexia posting a bass for sale called a Growler and expected some interesting and creative photography involving a comely female assistant?
25.
I like that a lot ..
the beard?
