1.
Tell me more...
Think this sold last month. Its a beauty
 2. I've seen and played this bass and its a cracker (now that Jon has sorted the truss rod issue). I would like this but have just bought 'Rick's Fine 52''s relic'd '53 P bass so am out of funds and have my '50s Fender fetish sated! This is one lovely bass, especially the flame maple neck. Someone buy it. Its lovely
 3.
Clarky???? who is this imposter! Nice bass by the way!
Oi, back in your box fake-Clarky!
 4.
I have never heard of these and can find no googlinfo on it. Do you have any pics of these guitar condoms ?
Voila https://axeglove.3dcartstores.com/mobile/ho...#homeSubCat_7_1
 5. Anyway a 'slap cock' is an official term for 75% of bass players at any bass show
 6.
If it needs to be picked up from the Bass Bash I'll do it, I have a book to give back to Chris anyway.
Thanks Wayne. I am not 100% I can make the BassBash but If I don't go I might get someone (Chiswick based and Happy, perhaps!) to bring it along if needs be as I have to somehow get my donated raffle prizes there too
 7.
Thanks Clarky. Funny old world isn't it mate, I now own (albeit provisionally) five basses, four of which I have bought back from people I'd sold them to. You don't know what you got 'til it's gone eh
My last deal was selling Happy Jack a bass he sold to me and subsequently regretted selling ... And had that happened a week earlier I would have bought back Legion/Jas' Tony Franklin which I once owned and had originally bought from Jas. Work that one out!

 9.
Thought that might be the case. The EKO strings (which I have to admit I'm starting to wonder of I ever posted!) made the bass sound like an acoustic bass guitar, whilst I did feel the TIs really took it into DB territory, especially as they really seemed to bring out the noise of the board and the fingers. The TIs were also effortless to play whilst the EKOs were like playing La Bella Jamersons! I've just committed to buy back my old Ovation via Bob, so ahead of buying this back also, I probably need a Precision or two to sell, not so much in terms of needing the money, but more in terms of needing the space! I'll take some pics of those beasts this evening and push those sales and see what I can do mate C PS I really appreciate the offer, but there's no need to drop the price re different strings
No worries, I will put it on hold for you and in the unlikely event you don't shift your Precisions and you are not in a position to go ahead it's no biggie for me, mate I will swap back to TIs in case you can go ahead and pop the La Bellas in the gig bag
 10. Did you by any chance vote 'Frequently' in my poll about drug taking Si? have a strong cup of coffee and you will see that your Jazz and Precision collection is the dogs doodahs! P's, the Zon is fine ... But single-cuts, just no!
 11.
How do the La Bellas compare with the TIs mate? Did you ever try the original EKOs?
The La Bellas are bigger and clunkier. They feel more DB (albeit a bit plastic-y as they are still so new and not worn in) whereas your old worn-in TIs probably sound more DB. I didn't ever receive the Ekos mate! I think they got lost in the post. If you prefer I would swap back the old TIs and chop £20 off the price?
 12. Sorry Bassbod/Duncan, I just don't trust ParcelFarce with something relatively fragile (compared to an electric bass anyway) and Beedster I await your call mate! FYI, I can put back on TI Flats if you prefer to black nylons (I could also just give you back the old worn TI Flats you had on it and keep teh La Bellas on)
 13. Is there no London-based DB player that needs a practice-friendly (small, lightweight vs DB) backup instrument?
 14. Interestingly an anagram of caps lock is slap cock. Is this why we bassists are so drawn to this for sale thread?
 15.
Did this get sold outside of eBay? I liked the look of that one...
16. Can't believe this is still here. Its probably classifies as vintage now. So if I were you I would put it as a commission sale through that vintage specialist shop in Norfolk that has 27 bona fide early-60s Precisions, 34 real '70s Jazzes and packet of lightly used MurrayMints
 17. I will add the bass is a LOT more surf greeny than it appears in Steve's pics - sadly I have deleted my old pics so I cannot chip in here. Edit: here is a g**tar in a similar colour to how I remember the Bacchus
 18. Um, me again! Sold Jack back his old Alleva 5'er when he realised he couldn't live without it and I realised I was never made to play a low B string ... As always a pleasure
 19.

Lucky chap!
 20. I have seen this bass being used in anger at Mark/discreet's Pigbag gig at the Jazz Cafe earlier this year. It both looks and sounds immense. If I didn't already have my oly White P bass I would be snapping this up. Someone grab a stonking bass here!
 21. I love the green snot-burst Precision on the Straighten Out video! IIRC someone on BassChat has a replica of this - very cool
 22. Very easy deal on my Markbass Micromark combo with Ash paying super-fast. All good, as per comments in posts above
