From Spector website:

I specifically bought the Ian Hill model as it has a slimmer neck profile, front to back. As an FYI, the Doug Wimbish models have a J (1.5") width nut, so are also easier on the left hand than a standard Spector

Just did a bass p/x trade with Simon, our first deal in a few years. As always, a gent to deal with and I am very happy with the bass I received in exchange. Top stuff!

I have had this for over a month but the crown mother-of-pearl fret stickers only arrived this week from US. I think they look the part and also tone down the Judas Priest 50 logo at 12th fret. Nice slim neck profile and a comfy 8 lb 2.5 oz in weight (this is the one I got from the Gumtree chap who has a gazillion basses for sale who was the subject of another thread).

The newest version of Markbass' flagship Mini CMD 121 combo, the V (with all functions eg DI on top). Bought new last year, never left house (as all gigs with my [now ex] goth band used the venue back line) and I have since decided to go the way of separates (again, I know....). It's worth too much to gather dust. New prices are typically between £749-830 and it comes with the official padded cover (cost me another £60). Altogether this would be over £800 new .. and its virtually indistinguishable from new (I took the horrid sticker off!) I have no appropriate shipping box at the moment so its collection only from a public space (not my house) in SW13 (Barnes, south of permanently closed Hammersmith Bridge). Specs here: https://www.markbass.it/product/mini-cmd-121-p-v/

Ben bought a Tech 21 Fly Rig from me and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Excellent!

Bought a month or two back on the forum on the back of rave reviews about it being a super effective compressor with other bells and whistles ("The only bass pedal you need" on YouTube etc). However, after a recent splurge on Trace Elliott items I now have both an amp and main preamp that have good 2-band compressors, so I don't need this pedal any more. It's in great condition and comes with box etc. £160 posted UK or will knock a tenner off for collection in SW13 (Barnes). FYI, new price is £210-220 Photo is a bit rubbish (I took it a few weeks back to record my preferred settings) but happy to post more. Here's the previous owner's ad with his pics: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/513092-sold-jhs-pulp-n-peel-v4-preamp-di-compressor-and-od/#comment-5490901

While @Beedster likes the creme pickup look, I am aware its a bit marmite. So just a reminder that I am also including the original Fender (black) pickup in case you wanted to swap out (and perhaps sell on the DiMarzio creme?) The ad from which I bought this bass shows how the original pickup looks https://fenderfever.com/products/2879

Nice one Lozz, that's a fabulous weight and a fine looking bass. By comparison my CIJ P bass, which I thought was light at 7.6 pounds, appears to be a boat anchor, haha!

Bought a lovely Trace Elliot amp off Ian. Well packed, lovely item, all as described. Top transaction! Thanks Ian 😀

In the absence of any firm interest (apart from trade offers) I am going to withdraw this. My other basses (Spector Ian Hill and Shergold Marathon) are wearing rounds and great for pick-based rock, this offers something different with flats. Edit: above tortuous logic doesn't really apply as my Marathon is now wearing TI flats!!!! Going to re-list this

Used with my old goth band (chorus v useful) and no longer needed. Very good condition and I even paid through the nose (£40 odd) for the fancy Tech 21 padded gig bag (which made travel to gigs on London tubes incredibly easy). Also comes with the PSU and slightly battered original tin. £180 posted seems more than fair given the beautious padded bag! Would also trade for vgc Trace Elliott Transit B pedal
