  1. Roy just bought my Wilcock Mullarkey bass. Very friendly, super quick transaction (less than 24 hours from first PM enquiry to payment and pickup). Recommended!
  2. I would have guessed Charlie Haden, as he was such an interesting bassist and character .... except, sadly, he is no longer with us 😞
  3. Really good nick Rick (I'm a poet). Some surface scratches on rear but no dings or meaningful dents anywhere. I added the treble pickup bezel. Comes with original pickup cover, plus original hard case, polishing cloth, key etc. Its too heavy for me at 9.6 pounds (4.35kg), albeit pretty standard for a Rick. 48 hour courier included or collection in public space in SW13 London (Barnes) only.
  4. After discussion with a couple of potentially interested parties, just reaffirming that I am happy to either courier or meet in a public space in SW13 (Barnes) London. Also, I am again wondering if this is a dumb idea and I should sell another bass instead (watch this space...)
  5. I too own this fine book
  6. I was wrong, a new Mullarkey is actually £2850-2950. So £1800 for a 9/10 pre loved Mullarkey is frankly a bargain
  7. Too awful 😢 seemed like a really lovely person and very community spirited
  8. Noooooo! That bass gave 19 years of good service ... in my hands it played The Half Moon, Putney and Spice of Night, Soho among others. So sad to see it's demise but hopefully some BCers will take you up on your kind offer Jack
  9. Re-listing as needs must (expensive car bill, not covered by insurance), plus I still haven't found a new band so I don't need 4 basses (yes,I bought another since I closed the ad last time....). This is a beauty and you will not regret it (I will). Now £1800 including delivery in UK (vs new cost of £2650) or will knock off £25 for collection in a public space in SW13 London
  10. This page suggests tea or coffee to stain bright white scratchplate? Sounds like a low cost easy first try at home option before resorting to actual dyes etc? Just sponge said beverage on edges and see what happens, can'ts see much could go wrong? https://strat-talk.com/threads/making-a-white-pickguard-cream.596301/

  13. If you share a photo of the peg box and the bridge, so we can see the silks and the type of string, someone may well be able to identify them (eg red silks usually mean Spirocores etc).
  14. Thanks, that's about average for a CIJ Geddy. Was hoping for a unicorn super light one! GLWYS, it's a beauty
  15. Lol! Because I viewed it, I have received an unbeatable 33% discount offer for the dog figurine. Decisions, decisions ..
  16. The seller has gazillions of "personally owned" items. Fancy a dog figurine owned by Christine McVie? Thought not https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/316046154730?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UJDja-vkTcS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=eqlPJw_SSty&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

  18. I thought this theead was about the long awaited new Megadeth album
  19. I keep returning to this. Wish I had band I could use this in. Have a bump from me!
  20. (Take the) Piss Alive I Featuring: Calling Dr Mug, God gave Rock n roll 2 you for $12.5k, God of Plunder ... and many more
  21. https://blabbermouth.net/news/you-can-be-gene-simmonss-roadie-for-a-day-for-12495 You can't beat Gene for ever more creative ways of extracting money from fans!
  22. The Spector Ian Hill he has FS was sold last year as B stock by Bass Direct (I was following it and clocked the s/n) at about the same price, from memory. His pics don't clearly show the small dings/scrapes like BD's pics did. Not implying anything untoward here .. its still a very nice bass ...but, if I was buying a resold B stock bass, I would be after more of a discount.
