  1. I have two good stalls tickets (row 10, block H) for the Lexicon of Love 40th anniversary gig at RAH on Tuesday 23rd June. Bought at request of Mrs C who subsequently found she was double booked .... Tickets come in email format with QR codes. I would send to the buyer and have been assured by the Box Office that there are no ID checks (I tried to return tickets and they said "Unfortunately we would not be able to offer a refund or credit note for this booking, as the tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis and this performance is not currently sold out. As this is not an I.D. checked performance, you are welcome to pass the tickets on to someone else who may be able to use them") I paid £160 but would take half that.
  2. I have this awful feeling that the seller is really being earnest - rather than being a chancer - and thinks his "precious" is precisely that. Rather than a butchered 'vintage' bass that has lost any vestige of what makes a bass vintage and therefore desirable.
  3. (Bass apparently played by Ricky Reed, of whom I am blissfully ignorant)
  4. I bought a One Control Sonic Silver Peg from Paul and all was good, despite the best efforts of couriers! Thanks Paul 😀
  5. My old voodoo swamp blues band Rattlin Bone from about 2011 (me on upright). Clown/beat boxer and up to 15 piece band with brass
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294954058610?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2XbF-SxnQ_O&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=eqlPJw_SSty&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  7. Possible p/x (money your way) for a cloth-grilled small footprint Barefaced cab (SC/Two10S) for my 2nd rig, to match with my Ampeg PF500 (Yes, I know I recently sold a SC, albeit metal grilled, but logic has never been my strong point regarding bass gear)
  8. Bought recently on the forum but unfortunately its not for me. Super powerful 500W combo with separately powered 300W compression driver. Reason for sale: I guess I just don't like tweeters/compression drivers (and the associated low level hiss, even if its inaudible at gig levels). Link to full specs here but it weighs only 36 pounds so very loadin/out friendly as well as loud and highly spec'd: http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/combo-121-lite-strong-alain-caron-strong/ Selling for what I paid. Post within UK possible (and at cost) as I have a good box - and the combo comes with a thickly padded, black leatherette Hotcovers cover. Also collection from SW13 London.
  9. The immutable law of BassChat: you buy something you fancy (in my case, an Ampeg PF500) and two days later something even more appealing comes up (your Rumble 800). Ho hum! Have a bump on me and GLWYS!
  10. I will include post (within UK) in the £115 price = big saving on new for a virtually unused superior quality gigbag
  11. Having just bought a new (back-up) amp that suits my basic, as few knobs/dials as possible approach (an Ampeg PF500), I am putting this up FS again. Near offers accepted and post apparently would be £7 with Royal Mail 48 hour
  12. Super slick fast neck, helped by Dunlop flats, weighs just over 7 pounds and the Aguilar pickup delivers a more solid fundamental sound than the single coil I had in my previous p90 equipped MW. Very happy indeed
  13. On further reflection, I don't need a backup to my amazing new Serek. This will just sit in its gigbag, so up it goes again. £800 plus post.
  14. Short scale beauty with Aguilar ceramic P pickups. And stripes. Yum, competition stripes!!! Weighs zip all too.
  15. Superb semi-rigid bass gigbag with plush gothic interior. Bought from Andertons a few months back for £169 to take my Lull Precision to gigs. Bass is now sold so this too is up for sale (my other basses are short scale and a Rick, which is weird shaped and only fits a Mono gigbag). Furthermore it travelled to precisely zero rehearsals and zero gigs (I used the Mono instead) and so is in great, virtually unused nick. Roughly £50 saving on new. Collect from SW13 London or delivery for a tenner on top (I have a box). Blurb and specs: Here's What Reunion Blues Say About the Aero Series Bass Guitar Case The Reunion Blues Aero bass guitar case utilizes the same shock-absorbing Flexoskeleton technology found in the RB Continental case, in a lightweight, slim, aerodynamic shape. The interior features Reunion Blues signature double-helix quilted velvet lining, with a padded neck brace and locking security strap that will keep your prized instrument snug. The case also sports a comfortable Zero-G handle and padded backpack that make transportation a breeze. For musicians looking for a slim, lightweight, protective case that will outperform wood and plastic, the Reunion Blues Aero fits the bill. Features Lightweight, slim, low profile shape Shock-absorbing Flexoskeleton Interior neck brace with security strap Zero-G handle Specifications Series: Aero External Length: 49in External Width: 15.75in External Height: 4.75in Internal Length: 47in Internal Width: 14in Internal Height: 2in Weight: 7.8lb
  16. "there are no tone controls to color the sound; therefore, the tone is manipulated solely by the user's technique and finesse" That's me f*cked then
  17. Me again! Another outstanding deal with BC legend Walshy, who bought back the Lull P54 I acquired from him a few months back. Top fella!
  18. Withdrawing to keep as backup to my Serek
