And at 13.78 billion years, the only ones left alive would be Willie Nelson and Keith Richards -

15 pages of feedback and 358 replies. It would take a team of university scholars to document my shame. Plus the universe would go bang. Hard to see the upside from doing it -

If I were to share photos of all the basses I have bought and sold on BC it would destroy the cloud, creating a singularity that would end the universe. So I think it best I don't -

On this day in 1976, Siouxsie and The Banshees played their first gig. Steven Severin playing a competition-striped Mustang bass. And yes that's Sid Vicious on drums, as well as MarcoPirroni on guitar. -
1961 Jazz that was previously owned by Pino, for sale at French vintage guitar and bass dealer. Great patina/ageing (as opposed to relic'ing!) But €29,500 seems one heck of a price to pay https://www.mattsguitar.shop/fr/guitares-stock/fender-jazz-bass-1961-ex-pino-palladino

Pedant alert: The original quote by Harry Selfridge was "the customer is always right in matters of taste" which has a quite different meaning to the shortened quote

Someone also commissioned Jon Shuker to make a replica (without the relicing)

Here's an old ad from the now sadly-no-more Bass Gear, so the bass was sold on. https://www.vintageandrare.com/product/Custom-Herbie-Flowers-Jazz-Replica-2011-38375

Yep I owned it briefly. I loved the association and the work that went into it, but just didn't gel with it. I then sold it to @molan who had quite a bit of work done on the neck/board and body to make it more authentic. No idea what has happened to it since

Des bought a Hofner bass from me and all was good. Prompt payment, friendly comms etc. Happy to recommend!

Love a cream DiMarzio on a P bass. A real Martyn P Casey (of the Bad Seeds) vibe. Very nice score Karl

Looks like this is either not floating people's boat or its a bit beyond their current CoL affected budgets. So its a last bump from me before I let this advert drift slowly page after page into the further reaches of the BassChat for sale forum! Not withdrawing just in case someone searches for a bass like this at a later date
