  1. Wow! I take back my big bang comments. You win!!! Amazing collection of basses has passed through your hands @Hellzero
  2. And at 13.78 billion years, the only ones left alive would be Willie Nelson and Keith Richards
  3. OK, fretless Wal sold in 2017 for under £3k. Smart move, huh?
  4. 15 pages of feedback and 358 replies. It would take a team of university scholars to document my shame. Plus the universe would go bang. Hard to see the upside from doing it
  5. If I were to share photos of all the basses I have bought and sold on BC it would destroy the cloud, creating a singularity that would end the universe. So I think it best I don't
  6. Three way switch with options of: "Skuzz Serkit" (a passive fuzz); Open; and Tone Rolled Off
  7. In case anyone here is after one, BassBros have a 1973 Geddy-a-like just posted in website ... and it's under 9 pounds in weigh too. Looks v nice https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1973-fender-jazz-bass-7/
  8. On this day in 1976, Siouxsie and The Banshees played their first gig. Steven Severin playing a competition-striped Mustang bass. And yes that's Sid Vicious on drums, as well as MarcoPirroni on guitar.
  9. 1961 Jazz that was previously owned by Pino, for sale at French vintage guitar and bass dealer. Great patina/ageing (as opposed to relic'ing!) But €29,500 seems one heck of a price to pay https://www.mattsguitar.shop/fr/guitares-stock/fender-jazz-bass-1961-ex-pino-palladino
  10. Pedant alert: The original quote by Harry Selfridge was "the customer is always right in matters of taste" which has a quite different meaning to the shortened quote
  11. Until she recently got a Fender Jazz custom made for her, Laura Lee of the wonderful Khruangbin only ever played a bog standard SX Jazz (the only mod was DiMarzio pickups I think). Seems like a heck of a lot of bass for the money
  12. Someone also commissioned Jon Shuker to make a replica (without the relicing)
  13. Here's an old ad from the now sadly-no-more Bass Gear, so the bass was sold on. https://www.vintageandrare.com/product/Custom-Herbie-Flowers-Jazz-Replica-2011-38375
  14. Yep I owned it briefly. I loved the association and the work that went into it, but just didn't gel with it. I then sold it to @molan who had quite a bit of work done on the neck/board and body to make it more authentic. No idea what has happened to it since
  15. Two upcoming gigs for my goth/post punk lot The InSect. Coventry on Sat 28th Sept and Dublin Castle, London on 4th October
  16. Thanks Paul but I would be taking too much of a hit. I have already turned down an offer of £2,250 (although that included the gigbag). Appreciate the message though and if you are who I think you are, Neat Neat Neat!
  17. Des bought a Hofner bass from me and all was good. Prompt payment, friendly comms etc. Happy to recommend!
  18. Love a cream DiMarzio on a P bass. A real Martyn P Casey (of the Bad Seeds) vibe. Very nice score Karl
  19. Looks like this is either not floating people's boat or its a bit beyond their current CoL affected budgets. So its a last bump from me before I let this advert drift slowly page after page into the further reaches of the BassChat for sale forum! Not withdrawing just in case someone searches for a bass like this at a later date
  20. Few more pics, showing the hinge that needs fixing on hard case and the bass with scratchplate on
