  1. Best: 1982 Fullerton Jazz bass in 3TS - wonderful thing Worst: R*ck 4003 (2021 edition in jetglo) - looks cool AF but I just can't get used to ergonomics and can't even sell the damn thing on BassChat!
  2. Don't need to look far for the original concept (*cough* Stanley Clarke) https://www.guitarworld.com/news/stanley-clarke-releases-long-awaited-strat-style-bass-the-spellcaster
  3. Think this beauty should have a bump - also, a quick compliment on your nice playing on Cosmic Girl, wot, not seen you grooving like that before - suits you sir
  4. You would have thought a masterbuilt instrument could use selected woods that kept the weight down. This one weighs close to 10 pounds which would rule me (and plenty of others) out, irrespective of the price Edit: its out of stock now, ie sold. So there you go!

    Feedback for Aero71

Marinus bought a nice old 71 P bass from me and the whole transaction was flawless (apart from customs delaying delivery to him). I would have no hesitation whatsoever dealing with Marinus again, friendly comms, quick payment, all good! ATB Clarky
  6. I have also been known to play a TB10 upright. Great sounding instrument
  7. I often quip in bands (as its all too often appropriate) the old maxim that noone notices the bass player unless they are on fire. I still love it
  8. Que, Mick? This is a fab cab for DB. Ask @Happy Jack and other upright playing dudes. The main audience is likely to be in this forum 😀
  9. Sid bought a BF cab from me. Flawless transaction with swift payment, good comms .... everything you could wish for. Cheers!
  10. @Paul SThe original listing was fractionally out - according to my electronic luggage scales its precisely 8.51 pounds
  11. If you want to use the stereo functionality through two amp inputs, its all of £3.99 https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Stereo-Jack-Mono-Jackx2-Cable-3m/10AZ Alternatively, keep selector switch to lhs and play in 'regular' mono at no additional cost
  12. Additional £5 discount if I get to keep the power cable (Handbox didn't supply one so I bought an extra long after-market one which I think will come in useful on some stages) Which would make it £525 posted, £515 collected
  13. Thanks it does indeed only have one cable output socket. So a stereo to mono cable would quickly solve the issue and presumably for a lot less than the £50 I allowed for! Thank you for the carification
  14. Can't put a Shergold ahead of a dog, dunc. Pablo and Woody would bite my ankles if I suggested that
  15. I bought this mojo'd beauty a month or two back from BCer itsmedunc but, despite my nostalgia, I am not gelling with the bass. Its the second time I have owned a Marathon and - in spite of Shergold's cool Factory records and 70s Genesis links - its just not as comfy as my Jazz basses. So, go it must and I will resist the temptation next time a Marathon appears for sale! Its pretty crazed, like most 70s Shergolds -best seen in dunc's pics in link below. One other thing to mention is that the bass sounds great (very P like) with selector switch to left hand side (as you look down playing) but, when switched to the right, only the E and A strings sound. Not sure if this is a minor electrical fix or a function of it being stereo (the truss rod cover says so, but dunc didn't think it was stereo, so I am unsure). Will knock £50 off what I paid in case its a quick trip to your local bass tech. Sounds great if used with selector to left, so didn't bother me (or dunc). £450 plus post. Or collect SW13, south of Hammersmith Bridge. Will come in beat up Fusion gig bag or old school hard case, depending on whether post needed. Sorry NO TRADES, I have plenty of basses! Dunc's FS ad with good pics
  16. Thanks all for kind comments, mods please lock so others have the best chance of selling their amps and cabs 😀
  17. I know where you live Jack Bwahahahahahahahaha!! [Even more diabolical laughter]
  18. In response to a couple of PMs, I don't have the original packaging but I have found a box of the right dimensions (and the cab would be in its padded cover). I checked UPS (the most reliable courier, in my experience) and it would be £16 delivered without additional insurance or £36 delivered including insurance to the value of £450
  19. Note: price adjusted a little (£20) lower, looking back at previous BC sales. Although its as new and not left house or been turned up above 1 or 2!
  20. Not sure of age (bought it last year from a BCer) but vgc cab with the 4/12 ohm switch and padded BF cover. Much prefer collection from SW13, south of Hammersmith Bridge, but could potentially post for another £15-20. Based on prior sales of the newer Two 10, £450 collected seems fair (postage on top).
  21. Note: BF 210 cab sold separately (pending the usual)
