  1. Beauty, Luke. Well worth the wait!
  2. Cheering to read. Very best of luck Chowny/Retrovibe, hope its a roaring success
  3. The case
  4. Having recently acquired a fantastic Fullerton era AVRI 62RI Jazz I am reassessing what I realistically need. Hence putting this rare 1999 beast up for sale. It was near mint when I bought it (see pics in ad link from Pym antiques below). Pretty much the only signs of use are some minor sinking of the nitro finish around the neck plate and a couple of tiny nicks. From front on it looks a new bass. It weighs 9.25 pounds on my scales (without chrome covers) and plays super smoothly with D'Addario 45-100 nickel rounds. Comes with slightly scraped tweed case and all the case candy. Price now £1500 plus delivery via UPS, or can be collected from SW13, south of Hammersmith Bridge. Trade options: AVRI 62 Precision if 9 pounds or less. Or p/x for similarly light early 70s P with rosewood board, with cash your way. Pics here
  5. It would be the TI JF344 long scale set
  6. From a TB article: The CEO of Rickenbacker himself highly recommends TI's. He stated that they are very similar to the Electro flats that were the factory strings on the 4001 back in the 70's. Having played both, I strongly concur.
  7. Back in the day, a long time ago, when I had a Rick 4001, the afficionados on the Ricky forum waxed lyrical about how the TI Flats were perfect for the bass
  8. Bought a nice old mojo'd Shergold bass from Dunc. Excellent transaction. Only upsetting thing is to see the post immediately above was from the sadly-departed MB1 (RIP)
  9. I know someone who might be interested. Will ping him a message
  10. I just bought one of these from danweb22. Not had chance to fully explore its capabilities but early indications say it really delivers that 70s SVT sound with a nice gradient to the breakup using gain
  11. Better?
  12. Old school spiral bridge saddles so the string spacing can be adjusted
  13. And with my A width neck 71 Precision
  14. Clarky

    Jazz

    Two AVRI 62 Jazzes (82 and 99) and a 72 P bass with J width (A) neck
  15. Just picked up this beauty. New best friends with my 1999 AVRI 62 in LPB. Yum
  16. Sold pending usual
  17. Bought a lovely Broughton pedal off Dan. Faultless transaction, as others have reported above (including me way back in 2013!)
  18. PRICE CUT: I will sell the BassFly rig for £199 posted or - with Pedaltrain Nano - for £230 posted (within UK).
  19. Would also sell in the Tech21 tin, without the Pedaltrain Nano for £210 posted. That compares with a new V2 BassFly rig at £325 plus.
  20. PM'ing you Dang, just brought a brand new Sansamp BDDI this week as I missed the last SV-PRE that came up!
  21. My band, a few years back playing the 100 Club.
  22. Quick bit of research on the Bass Fly Rig v2 shows the differences are as follows: • A choice of SansAmp Character modes: SansAmp Bass Driver DI for a variety of classic bass tube amp tones, or VT Bass DI with a more specific focus on Ampeg-style tones. • Channel switching for two different Drive and Level settings. Go from clean to dirty, not-so-clean to not-so-dirty, very dirty to downright nasty, or any variation in between. • Effect loop to facilitate incorporating additional outboard effects. So the v2 definitely has more utility but the Sansamp part of the v1 rig I am selling is still a Sansamp! So you can get fat tube, SVT etc sounds out of it
  23. I bought this multi fx unit last year and it hasn't even left the house, let alone racked up more than an hour's worth of use. Basically as new. Note: this Bass Fly rig pre-dates the V2 version that arrived in May (although I have no idea whats different, bar some horrid new graphics). I put the rig on a Pedaltrain Nano board with soft case, thinking it would be handy for my band. But turns out that most of what this clever unit can do (envelope filter, chorus, compressor etc) is superfluous for my needs. I paid a combined £340 for these (current combined new price is £365+)and will sell the BassFly rig for £199 posted or - with Pedaltrain Nano - for £230 posted (within in UK).
  24. I can also help with 2nd question as I have the same model Serek MW bass. Here's mine at 12th
