Ha-ha, I know that feeling - and finally gave in. No regrets at all. There is a guy on Talkbass who builds a PLL without the drone and momentary sections for less, but then shipping&taxes have to be considered, so I guess the FT is your best bet.
well the MIKU is odd, but that Schumann PLL pedal looks crazy good, shame they are as rare as unicorn sh*t. I'd love one.
There are clones out there: FTelettronica PLL ELTA PLL
I don't know if anyone has seen this ridiculous pedal.
I did. I own it and used it on this song.
What other strange concept effects units are out there?
PLL is pretty strange.

I bought a COG custom from Kyle. It was a pleasure to deal with him, he responded quickly and he didn't mind doing an international sale. Pedal was very well packed too. Cheers!

Will 100W be loud enough? That is probably also determined by the cab(s) situation. Here's 100W, only 11 kg, 1590 Euro, can go down to 2 Ohms.

A bit above your limit with 22.6 kg (200W), but the Mywatt amps get a lot of love. http://mywatt.de/en/index.html (The 400W model is around 25kg).
Cheers, added. The serial puts it as June 2001, slightly at odds with the sticker (not seen a dated sticker before), interesting. Si
Well, I never checked the serial. Here, if you want to have a look.

Nice! I've got one. It's made in Taiwan, has a BOSS Sticker on the back that reads "10.2001" and there's this number: JO 75749. It lives in Bern, Switzerland.

6 Sunn 200s, Musicman HD 130, RW O))) and Dynacord Eminent II are constantly used at the rehearsal space. Peavey Classic Series Power Amp (60W) is used at home. Exef VPA260 power amp sits unused in a corner.

Bought a DHA pedal from Will - smooth deal on all accounts. Great guy! Cheers!

With a stereo power amp it might make some sense .... maybe?

New old amp day - Dynacord Eminent II
fuzzonaut replied to Beer of the Bass's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was thinking about only removing the two input channels on the right, fitting a simple (B15n based) valve preamp in their place and sending it's output straight into the power amp. The two channels on the left would still be there, and the three central controls would still work on those. So it would still keep most of the original functionality of the amp, just with fewer input channels. It could also be put back to the original state quite easily, if it doesn't work out. The more I think about it, I reckon this is the route I'll try.
Ah, I see. Sounds like the perfect plan! -
New old amp day - Dynacord Eminent II
fuzzonaut replied to Beer of the Bass's topic in Amps and Cabs
Nice! I have one of those, in a wooden enclosure. It was my first amp with tubes in it. When I had it serviced a few years ago, I got a power amp input installed (at the back). I'd go with this solution, as it also leaves you with the possiblity to use the full amp as well. After using it as a bass amp, I now use it as a "mixer" amp to run (and mix) different stuff (synths, vocals, drone boxes) through the channels. -
I have one! It can track a bass, single notes, but not all the way down. The real fun is where the pedal struggles and glitches ...
You run the meatbox wet into an octaver? Have you had the structural integrity of your house assessed recently? Also, so many tasty fuzzes, and a lot of niche/crazy stuff, I like.
Cheers! Well, our practice room was built to survive World War III, it's an atomic shelter thing, underground, so no problems with walls falling down. Everything else is vibrating though. And I use the Meatbox for sub frequencies only, the octave on it is rolled back. Rig 1 has an Acoustic 301 (18" folded horn), that cab is fine with those pedals.

Well, *cough*, it might seem as if things have gotten a bit out of hand, but I'm really enjoying this mess of a board. It's feeding 3 rigs (simultaneously). Signal chain: Bass --> Meatbox Meatbox wet --> Octamizer --> Agro --> rig 1. Meatbox dry --> Dope Priest --> Bluebeard --> Big Spider --> BEAST --> Megalith clone --> Flanger --> RM-1N --> Echo Degrader --> DD7 DD7 A --> Bass Bloom --> Incinerator --> (more pedals on another board) --> rig 2. DD7 B --> Decomposer --> Hyperfuzz --> Youth Chaos/Clock Noise --> (more pedals on another board) --> rig 3.
I am having the same trouble with Scott @ Gojira. Paid £100 for a custom filter build . . Last May! Been asking for a refund since xmas, replies are few and far between. Any ideas for getting the cash back other than £25 small claims court claim?
Bummer! I just kept annoying them with daily emails and stuff, demanding a refund while ranting a bit. Yep, daily, it became some sort of funny routine for me. After I kept this up for a while, a refund actually arrived. So, just spam them!
-
I've had issues with them, like 2 years ago. They took a full payment and never delivered the pedal (while having sales of the model I ordered!!!). Emails where mostly ignored - occassionally they said "will ship tomorrow/next few days", but that never happened. So yeah: Just try to get your money back at and avoid them in the future.

This cab is fantastic! I like your style!

What's the general standard of player who reads Basschat?
fuzzonaut replied to lou24d53's topic in General Discussion
I really like to read Basschat. You guys are great - and pretty funny. I don't comment a lot, actually almost never, but that's just me. I don't talk a lot in real life, so I don't around here neither. Anyway, I sporadically picked up my brothers bass in the 80ies whenever he wasn't looking, then eventually bought it off him. As I never bothered to take lessons or learn anything about muscic theroy and stuff, I'm pretty useless by any standard, but luckily I always found people who put up with my "playing". -
