I did a side by side comparison of my old Epifani UL410 with a Bergantino AE410 and it was like someone had removed a blanket from infront of the cab when I heard the AE410. Interestingly though, the Epifani had a sound which was warm, dark, smooth... lovely. The Berg had warmth, clarity and punch. Both great cabs... just different. And, at the time, not that different in price for a new one.

Turning the horn down or off on the AE410 helps to give you a more old-sKool sound.

I'll just add my comment by saying all the lovely things everyone says about Ray is true. One or two emails exchanged, he arrived at my house with cash, played a few notes to try the bass and the transaction was completed. Thanks very much Ray and enjoy the bass! Steve

I'd been playing on and off for 20 years, been in several bands, and was an 'OK' bass player.
