1. Just sold a Markbass amp to Andy. Nice easy, friendly transaction and lives round the corner!
2. Thanks Andy! Enjoy the amp tonight, hope it's just what you need. Steve
3. 1963 Harmony H22.
4. Good idea!
5. Hi, I've just bought a Musicman Stingray 5 and the bridge saddle grub screws with 1/16" hex adjusttment slot need replacing. Does anyone have any idea what size screws these are or have experience replacing them? Are they easy to find to replace? Thanks, Steve
6. A friend suggested a high-res photo of the back of the bass and cut it to fit the scratchplate, then it would look like wood from a distance and cover the cavity too... What do you think? Would it work?
7. Still available.
8. Just to add some positive feedback for Steve who collected a Hiscox hard case from me yesterday. Very friendly, with some good advice regarding bass setups ^_^ Sorry we were in such a rush to leave Steve, hope we have more time to chat next time. Steve
9. Thanks chaps!

11. Bugger... one of the heaviest basses I've ever owned! Didn't really notice it tooo much til I put it int he gig bag and carried it... WOW! Feels like it weighs twice as much as the Lakland JO. Still, it'll do 'til I get a nice light Sadowsky...
12.
Paul Carroll at Crash Studios (top notch rehearsal gaff) has been a touring tech for all kinds, including jaunts round the world with Echo & The Bunnymen, and is very handy with set-ups/repairs/demon guitar playing - he's also in my band, and sorts all our guitars out, so I can vouch first hand for his work. Top bloke all round!
Thanks Mike.
13.
I can second that. I worked for Keith and can say that his work is of a very high standard. By the way, his workshop is located in Birkenhead.
He must be good and therefore busy... he said I'd be be without my bass for a week to ten days....
14. Thanks Tom! We battled the NEC and won (just about!)
15. Cheers Russ!! Can't wait to have it playing as I want it!
16. Thanks Tom! Yes, it's a lovely bass. Just needs to be restrung and setup.
17. Thanks Colin, I forgot to do that didn't I?!! I think I'd rather try and find a way to cover up the cavity by trying to get a similar colour under the plate. I was wondering if it would be possible to paint the underneath of the plate a similar colour to the body, just in the area of the control cavity... I have a spare clear plate to test it on.
18. Hi all, I picked this beauty up yesterday. It's a used, 1994 Stingray 5. I've put up two pics, one as it is today with the included white scratchplate (sitting next to my Lakland US Joe Osborn) and one that was on the Bass Direct website with the also included clear scratchplate. I love the clear plate's look but don't like being able to see all the controls... Any thoughts as to how I could make it work with the clear plate? Steve
19. I bought a David Gage Realist pickup and SD systems LCM100 mic from Greg last year. All arrived well packaged and in perfect working order. Today I received a couple of jazz theory books for a great price. Excellent communication and very friendly. Thanks Greg! Steve
20. Thanks! Looking forward to living in the area.
21. Just wanting to know how bass heavy Merseyside is!
