1.
Jaco didn't play on "In France they kiss on Main Street" (or on anything else from "The Hissing of Summer Lawns" for that matter) - it was Max Bennett.
Jaco played on the live version as heard on the 'Shadows and Light' album. My girlfriend's dog has growl.
2. Thanks Simon!

12. Cool! I also play bass for an artist called Sefton...
13. Anyone else here from Merseywide/Wirral?
14. Hi all, I am a professional bass player based in Birmingham but also spending a lot of time in the Wirral these days. I've been touring and recording with various artists in the UK and Europe over the last ten years in a wide variety of settings from club gigs to high profile venues and festivals to radio and TV at home and abroad. I believe in playing with consistency and authority whatever the project, whether a function/corporate gig or for an artist playing original songs. I've put together an edited version of some rehearsal sessions for a band I was in a couple of years ago if you'd like to have a listen to some of my playing. It's the first track on my myspace page called 'Purveyors of Fine Fusion (Baskerville)'. You can also find other examples of some recorded work on the page. Find it at: http://www.myspace.com/steveamadeomusic If I can be of help please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am confident I will be an asset to your project. Steve

I offer bass guitar lessons in Birmingham (B67 postcode) and Wallasey, Wirral (CH44 postcode) but see my post on the bass tutors page for more information. 18. Great stuff chaps, thanks!
19. Thanks chaps. Next question... double bass lying flat on its back in a Mondeo hatchback? Or, on it's side with the neck sticking between the front seats? Steve
20. Double bass in a Ford Mondeo hatchback anyone? Is it possible?
21. I think there's more to be said about Victor Wooten's playing/musicianship when listening to him in the context of his career as both a sideman and as a solo artist. All the youtube clips tend to show is the flash double-thumbing stuff, but a lot of his work, particularly on the early Flecktones albums is beautiful, in my opinion. His fingerstyle lines alone display a mastery of the instrument and of the music he plays.
22. Hi Jason, not far at all then. Any decent gig venues in the area?
23. It's ok, near the sea and river, not far from the city and countryside if you like a bit of both. They're soon to be developing the front at New Brighton making it a bit more attractive, with more entertainment, a cinema, new supermarket etc.
24. Hi, As a regular visitor to the Wirral I'd just like to see who else here is from there and where. I spend a lot time in Wallasey these days. All the best! Steve
25.
Thank you so much for posting that ... I have a new bass hero Andy
It's a pleasure. Someone I know posted it on facebook and I thought it would be a crime not to share it here.
