Markbass Little Mark 250 Blackline £***SOLD***

Bought for a project that never happened.......! Imported from America, this is a very nice 4 ply Tortoiseshell pickguard made from reddish brown celluloid that would look great on any Precision. It is not the more commonly found brown plastic type. I specified it to be a medium relic finish, so it has scratches, swirls, dulled patches and darkened / stained edges. It has been pre-drilled with the 'thumb rest' in the lower position as well as the pick up cover holes. There is also the metal shielding plate which is cut smaller than the pickguard and will therefore not show once fitted. Please let me know if you have any questions - thank you, David!

Gary bought my Barefaced Two10. Such an easy, hassle free and pleasant transaction - a really nice guy to deal with and great communications too.

Barefaced Two10 (4 ohm) with the silver cloth grill and padded Roqsolid cover. i bought this from the original owner when it was a few months old and it has never left my home - so it has had light, low volume use. It sounds superb with my Markbass TTE500 head and as it is the 4 ohm version it enables the full 500 watts output from one lightweight cabinet. It is in great condition although it does have some of the trademark tolex peel on the back - the handle is fine though!!! Weighs just 13kgs and measures approx 15 inches high, 24 inches wide and 13 inches deep. Tracked shipping available if required. More pictures on request and please ask any questions!

Heyulp, lost a bit of a tuner.
Cotswoldbassguitars replied to karlfer's topic in Repairs and Technical
Karl - you are not the first person this has happened to! These 'tension' screws have a habit of working loose and escaping so it is always worth a regular check and tighten if necessary. I lost one on Custom Shop Classic and ending up getting in contact with Fender UK who were very helpful and sourced the replacement. If you don't get any joy with them, feel free to let me know and I'll see if I still have the email trail...........but it was quite a while ago! David. -
Bought a great amp from Mark which was exactly as described. A perfect transaction in every way. Very highly recommended.

Fender Deluxe, Elite, Hot Rod query
Cotswoldbassguitars replied to dmccombe7's topic in Bass Guitars
Thanks "project c" that explains it a lot. Have you heard of the Hot Rod version or is that just same bass with different name. I thought it might be a passive version of the PJ's ? Dave
The Hot Rod is a limited run and a very different bass - as you say, passive with a P/J set up. If GAK can supply you one new for £1049 (RRP was £2200 ish!) that would be a tempting offer! If not, I might just happen to know where a nearly new one is available!!! -
Steve bought a Fender Bass Case from me. The whole transaction was easy, with great communications and instant payment. A total pleasure to deal with and highly recommended.

As the title says - bassist required for a young (well everybody is young to me!) 'grungy' metal band based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The first gig with their new material is set for 20th May and they will be recording an album early June. There is a dep on hand though! If you would like more details, please PM me your contact details and equipment used and I will pass these on to the band who will then contact you directly. Thanks. David

Vintage Musicmaster Bass w/case
Cotswoldbassguitars replied to NoirBass's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
The case looks original to me. Fender offered 'Economy Chipboard Cases' for Mustang and Musicmaster basses in the '70s which they described as 'soft shell flannel lined'. I had a '76 Musicmaster bass with the same case. They are not very strong! -
Hi Karl, That looks an interesting one! I have just dug out the Fender Frontline brochures from 2002 and 2003 and there is a '60s Jazz Bass shown but no specific mention of '62. However, it states it was only available in Sunburst, Olympic White and Black and all came with a tort pickguard. There is certainly no mention of Burgundy Mist, white pickguard and matching headstock! I wonder if it was a special run? It certainly looks a nice find!

The South West Bash in October was a great event and I would be very happy to support a Bristol Bash in the New Year.
