1. 1980's Aria Pro II RSB Deluxe. Fair condition for its age, but no by no means pefect. Plays like a dream though and has one of the nicest necks I've ever played. Sounds pretty good too, with everything being original exept the bridge pickup having just been rewound by Aaron Armstrong. Basically a PJ pickup config with some weird switching involved - fully passive, with concentric Vol/Tone. They don't make them like this anymore those crazy Japs!! Black with gold hardware. Not too sure what it's worth but lets start at £200 and see what happens. Serial No. is 5082459, meaning (I think) that it was made in 1985. cheers D.
2. I don't want to bum them up too much, but they are actually very capable cabs, in typical Yamaha fasion. Quite light for a non Neo cab and the pair together have a bigger, deeper sound compared to my Tecamp 2x12. If I could find a suitable (and cheap) head that could handle 2 Ohms, then I'd keep them as pound for pound, I couldn't better them. cheers D.
3. Long awaited bump! Hit me with crazy offers and trades please!! D.
4. Offer withdrawn, unfortunately!! D.
5. Please tell us more about it.......prototype you say......sounds interesting!! D.
6. Would you accept £100 posted for this? I sold mine last year and actually miss it a little, and with the hopeful prospect of our own private band rehearsal space being secured tomorrow morning (if it's acceptable), then I'll need an amp to drive 2 x 4 Ohm cabs. If you're kind enough to accept my offer AND the space is ok for us (an important point in order for me to buy this), then I can pay straight away with PayPal or Bank Transfer. Up to you... cheers D.
7. Mine is from 1980 and has the off switch on the Vol pot. Same electronics, but as mentioned, without the EQ trim pot. D.
8. Edirol FA-66 Firewire interface in very good condition. Hardly used at all to be honest - I mainly use it as a DAC between my Mac and my hifi. Comes with psu (although it can be run bus powered), FireWire cable, driver CD, documentation and original packaging. I'm raising funds for a new home cinema projector, so no swaps although I'd part ex for a much cheaper USB interface (as long as it has a volume control). Behringer FCA 202 etc.... Looking for a very firm £149 for a sale or looking to clear £100 after a part ex. Cheers D.
9. I have 2 B&C 12" Neo drivers for sale. Model no is 12HPL64-4. Here's a link to the PDF: http://www.bcspeaker...PRD/12HPL64.pdf

400 W continuous program power capacity
64 mm (2.5 in) aluminium voice coil
50 – 4000 Hz response
100 dB sensitivity
4 Ohm
Weight 2.1kg
These cost me a pretty penny, but they've been sitting in my spare room for a couple of years, so hopefully someone can get the use out of them. Looking for £100/pair plus P&P. cheers D.
10. Peterson VS-1 Virtual Strobe tuner for sale. A few years old, but in pretty good nick. Comes with Bag, PSU and downloaded printed manual. In the workshop I prefer using my Korg so it's just sitting here taking up room. £65 inc. shipping. cheers D.
11. A friend is looking to sell this and he has no idea what it's worth. By all accounts it's in fantastic condition and sounds superb. Any ideas as to it's worth, how old it is etc...? cheers D.
12. Not had time to read through this thread, as I'm just about to eat my tea, but it does look like a fresh improvement in design. Very well done! There are 2 minor issued for me though - the fonts in general are a bit too big (which adds to the spaced out look mentioned above) and the grey fonts need to be a shade or 2 darker. Apart from the intermittent slowness, it's all good so far!! D.
13. Stagg bass strings have smaller, guitar sized ball ends. D.
14. Cheers. I had thought of using a log pot with inverted wiring. The original is missing and currently it's wired with a std pot, with 2 of the wires disconnected. It's a customers bass, so a new preamp might be on the cards. D.
15. Anyone know where I can get a 220K C dual concentric anti-log pot? I've asked the bass manufacturer, but it's such an old design, they can't source any. Interesting eh.................. cheers D.
16. Will split if you want just the one.... D.
17. Please don't take offence, it's not what I'm aiming at here.....the bass is blooming lovely, but the standard of the pics, not the actual photography is just poor. Too much compression and not enough detail. That's why I thought it was phone pics. If I was an interested buyer I'd be asking for better pics - I'm a lefty so there's no chance of me buying your bass. I also realise that this reply is blowing the whole thing out of proportion and that wasn't my intention. I simply meant that the quality of the images didn't match the quality of the bass. Now that's an endorsement for you. Cheers D.
18. That has the potential to be a lovely looking bass, but your phone camera pics do it no justice at all..... D.
19.
If you want a super simple crystal clear box then the TC Electronics NDY-1 Nova Dynamics would be great, it has a 3 band compressor designed to be transparent.
And a much better pedal, in my opinion, than the EBS Mulicomp. Wouldn't be without mine. D.
20. Almost exactly a year to the day I picked up my first (so far) ACG bass, and having just played it for the last hour or so while sipping some fine red wine (and watching Silverstone moto gp qualifying) I can't help think this is the best bass ever made. I can't thank Alan enough and I wish I could get one on every birthday. Here it is a year ago, still playing and sounding great. It's got extra long scale Elixir strings and they've been on it for about 9 months and still sound fresh..... I fancy another one but can't justify that for time being. If I did, I think a swamp ash body and almost the exact opposite of this bass, wood wise, would be the thing. Managed to do all this on the Android while drinking wine. ;-) Cheers D. 21. What about some TecAmp love...? Never heard this design, but I can tell you if it's anything like the Puma 500 I have it's all you'll ever need. 300w and 500w versions available as well. D.
22. Hi our drummer has asked if I'd make an offer on his behalf. He'd like to offer £300 inc. shipping and he's made it clear he's not prepared to move much from that. Let me know cheers D.
