1.
HI All Thanks for your help,I will spend th money :-) Alan
Before you do, try one of these; Best £100 I ever spent. D.
2. I have the Compact now - very nice and unbelievably punchy!! Who's next on the list? It'll be available from next Mon onwards.... cheers D.
3. Again, flawless transaction and was very understanding when the courier f*cked things up! cheers D.
4. Back from holiday bump!
5. Nah, I'm only pulling your leg! I like that ACG shape, if I ever get another one (and I'm tempted) I'd get this shape, no doubt. D.
6.

Nice wheelie bin!! D.
7. I'm leaving for Oslo on Wednesday, so looks like I'll have to pass for the time being. I've no gigs lined up either so it actually makes no sense for me to even try it despite how much I'd like to. Stephen, pass it on to razze06 although if you feel like popping into the shop with it for a demo, then that's cool. D.
8. post edited to include shipping option.
9. Just listened and it sounds pretty good to me.... D.
10. I might be persuaded to ship them..... D.
11. Since getting my first 5 string ACG, I no longer need 2 basses at a gig, so it seems silly to keep hold of this no matter how much I like it. I really like it! £160 posted in original box with fresh Procell battery. Here's the blurb if you don't yet know what these things are; [b]This is the ultimate bass tool. Period! The MicroBassII can be used as an active direct box, a one or two channel preamp, instrument switcher or blender AND headphone amp! Two Channels and A Useful Loop The two channels provide sound shaping from high end solid-state types to distorted timbres, using the awarded tube emulation circuitry found in the EBS range of professional bass heads. An incorporated effects loop gives the user added flexibility for connecting to other effect pedals, or for mixing in an external audio source such as a CD player for rehearsal purposes. Unmatched Flexibility The balanced output with speaker simulator option provides unmatched flexibility in live and studio situations. Footswitches control mute and channel operation/switching. Other features include headphone output, low battery indicator, link and master outputs, bass, ‘sweepable’ midrange, treble, bright and edge filters, drive and effects mix controls. The EBS MicroBassII delivers that big, burning EBS sound wherever you go. 12. All credit to you - this is a much better advert, and it looks like a nice Strat. Jap instruments are always very, very good. cheers D. BTW - I don't often get my red card out (see what I did there) but since one else had done the deed, I felt it was my duty to 'put things right'.
13.
I can get pictures but will need alot of interest first. as im not messing about on here fetching pictures for people who have no interest in the first place!!
Nice! Glad to see you're going the extra mile to help sell your mates guitar on this bass forum. Do you really think think someone is going to spend £500 on a guitar that even you can't recall the condition of, and in the next sentence, you say you're not prepared to post pictures? Now, I've no intention of ever buying a Strat, but there may be a few people here who might be but they won't give this ad a second look without a more complete run down of its condition and at least a photo or two..... Best of luck cheers D.
14. Evening All After a debacle yesterday with our brand new PA, the problem being that cables, mics, power leads etc were all in different boxes (inc. some of those cheap plastic storage bins you get at homebase) and some not even in boxes at all I'd like a view on what others are using to store/transport their cables. I had thought about 2 LP record boxes because I'd rather split the power/audio leads up and it eases carrying 2 boxes rather than one heavy one. They're also pretty light. There's also the silver aluminium ceases on ebay... Any thoughts? cheers D.
15.
Superb, if I have these for this weekend I've got gigs Friday & Saturday. Deek are you OK for getting this next week if it arrives to me before Friday?
I'm still up for it, Stephen although I've no immediate gigs lined up.... D.
16. I've used the bigger, unpowered stuff in the past and it's utter sh*te! Can't comment on those ones though.... D.
17. I use one of these - it's amazing and it's going nowhere!! D.
18.
The winner!
Quantity almost never makes up for quality, however, in this case that statement might well not be true! D. PS - does that qualify as a garden?
19. Yes, and it's still for sale - will split the rig, but the cabs are staying as a pair. Not looking to ship them at the moment but I can ship the head as I have the original packaging. D.
20. Alan, don't be fooled - it's grass - it can be grown by anyone, anywhere! Cetera, you officially have too many guitars/basses. D. PS Alan - have you ever noticed that your logo looks like a space man jumping for joy when the bass is viewed vertically?
21. To finish off this thread, here's a photo of the bass in the garden. A big thanks to Alan for building the bass, I really do like it and I'm getting used to the extra string quite quickly. It sounds amazing too - these SIT strings are quite nice! cheers D.
