1. In my continual search for a more open midrange, I've been through ER 20's (2 different brands) a set of Heros Pros and I've just bagged a set of Earsonic Earpad Universal earplugs. 16dB attenuation. The first thing I noticed is the 2 tier plug par for the canal is quite loose in the ear. I'll try them and see. Next on the cards if these are no good is the Alpine Musician Pro plugs. I'm probably putting the inevitable off, by buying inferior disposable plugs when I could just stump up for custom moulds but I'm a cheap sake. Earsonic make custom moulds as well. 2. That's a very nice, honest looking bass. Reminds me of my old JD Roadie (yours is much nicer though). D.
3.
Thanks! Haha.
You're Funny!! :brow:
4. Mountains - Biffy Clyro. Great to play with a mix of time signatures. D.
5. More nice progress. I'm really loving it.......the Moffat Bass Bash is officially cancelled as Allan has decided to finish my bass (it's not true, c'mon!). D.
6. Just to add - I received one of these yesterday and its the best compressor I've ever used. It's so musical and can go really heavy or really subtle or anything in between. I've just bought an EBS Multicomp from a fellow forumite so I'll compare the 2, but I reckon the TC will be here to stay. Thoroughly recommended! (and £100 is a great price). D.
7. Joh, this is all I've got. D.
8. An old 1978 Ibanez 2388B BK lefty I used to own, now belonging to Arni. D.
9.
If you can get a train to Lockerbie I can pick you up. Not even sure if that is possible or easy you would need to look into it.
Cheers Alan, I'll look into it, but I'm also working on the Sat. so wouldn't be able to leave till tea time anyway.....I'm probably not going to make it! D.
10. Anybody got room to spare in their car/van for me and some gear..? I'd like to make it down to Moffat but I don't drive..... I'm in Kirkcaldy, Fife. cheers D.
11. Sh!t - I can hardly wait on mine now..................that looks ace! D.
12. Dood, a couple of quick questions which I hope you can answer.... Will the Nova Dynamics work ok running from a 9v supply? I know some of the other TC pedals work ok this way but if you could test for me I'd appreciate it. Also, how does it sound..? cheers D.
13.
Any idea of what postage would be? I'm in Edinburgh. Jon.
Jon I've got a couple here if you want them - I'm in Kirkcaldy. D.
14. Latest update - Some progress on the neck. Binding done and board glued to the neck. Headstock shaped and tuners sorted out. Next radius the board fret and side dots then into the body. I hope the next update is less than 5 months from now like this one was, as it's tough waiting and seeing other peoples builds progress. I try to keep it at the back of my mind but it's going to be so good....... D.
15. Bit confusing as to whether this has been nabbed yet or not - I'd like to buy it and can pay today whatever method you prefer. cheers D.
16. Eden Nemesis NE700. http://www.eden-electronics.com/products/e...eads/en700.aspx I had a slightly older NA650 and it was one of the best amps I've ever owned. You can't go wrong. D.
17. Could you amend the title as well please? Stop people looking at the thread with a view to buy to find out it's already sold. Muchas Gracias D.
18. It's easy - just undo all the screws holding it together. There's a few of them. Start top/bottom/sides. D.
19. You'll keep it, trust me!! D.
20. John, would you be up for a trade with a TecAmp Puma 500? I've had it from new just over a year and actually think it's the best amp I've owned but the TC has had me interested since I first seen them. I'm not actually sure I want to trade TBH as I might regret it, but I'd like to try the TC all the same. I'll PM you. cheers D.
21. Bartolini 9J1 L/S Jazz Bass Pickups. What they say; These pickups are split coil hum-cancelling designs - think of them as a "P-Bass* pair in box". These are wound to yield more "growl" from the Bridge pickup. They are very similar to our old 94J pickups, just ever so slighlty brighter at the bridge. These have stronger lows and low mids than the typical "vintage" tone. Some marks on top of the neck pickup where the E string has rubbed (I'm a lefty, so would be where the g string is normally) and a small part missing on the bottom of one of the mounting holes, but I have the part that has come away so could be glued on. Does not affect mounting in any way. Loads of cable left on them as well. Very nice pickups, and totally hum free. £60 posted. D.
22. OK, PM me your payment details - I can do PayPal gift or bank transfer. Up to you. D.
23. I'd like to buy these please - I'll be able to get back to you tomorrow night. D.
24.
Yep I'm the one it's heading to...
Stephen, if possible, could you bring that in to me at the usual place to have a look/listen? And bring your red bass as well!! cheers D.
