2.
Peavey DPC on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peavey-DPC-1400-powe...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peavey-DPC-1400X-Pow...id=p3286.c0.m14 Go get one! They seem to be the same unit?
Be very careful here. Our drummer actually bought this very amp a few weeks ago and when I plugged it in it was arcing inside and smelt horrible.....needless to say he sent it back. The seller then admitted it had a non Peavey repair sometime in the past and then had the audacity to say the amp was working fine..... If it's anyone on here, then you should be ashamed of yourself! BEWARE! D.
3.
Now reduced to £40. Has anyone heard these PUPS before? If you want Vintage Growl these are the beasts! Plus they are wound to eliminate hum.
I'd take these if you could do them for £35 inc. P&P. cheers D.
4.
Hi Honestly there is not another ACG EQ02 in Scotland. To be honest at the moment other than a couple of early basses both of which went to friends so they don't count there is not an ACG bass in Scotland.
He He!! Alan, I didn't mean to doubt you for a second. The replacement knob showed up today as well - thanks for that. I'll get the other in the post to you in a day or 2. cheers D.
5. I received mine on Sat. but won't have a chance to use it until my new bass is built. Great service (thanks Alan) and I'm supposedly the first owner in Scotland, which is nice. It's going in a fretless and I know how much a filter based pre works in that scenario.... Sound clips 6SB!!! D.
6. Electro Voice ND 767A - best mic in its class by a mile!! D.
7. This is the bargain of the century (well apart from that Ric). If I wasn't a lefty, this would be mine by now. These cost £600 odd new. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=25455 D.
8. This is an Audere drop-in active system for Jazz type basses. No soldering just simple screw terminals. I've used this for nearly a year, although it's been in a backup bass so has genuinely hardly been used. Features Bass, Mid & Treble controls as well as pickup balance. There's also a "Z" switch which offers 3 types of sound, from really deep & mega to a Stingray type sound. There's a blue LED which lets you know when the battery is getting low. I tried this back to back with the John East equivalent (which John very kindly let me borrow) and although the East is very good, it lacks the overall range of tones the Audere has. Build quality wise, there's nothing to separate them they're both very well put together! I'm selling to have a custom bass made, so no longer need this. New, these are $149 new plus shipping & VAT. I'm wanting £85 inc. postage which is a bargain. More info here; http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm cheers D.
9. Here's my 1980 custom leftie, a bass I love to death. Notice the early Pro headstock - they must have had the neck lying around and used it for this build. Also has an early chrome bridge. It has Niangon facias with a Mahogany core and triple pinstripe veneers front & back in between. It's in remarkable condition for a 28 year old bass. The electrics in this one are different from most Wals as it has on off switch on the vol. control, as well as the pull/push pick attack. I recently put a set of Elixirs on it and it has come alive....... D.
10. Best bass under £300 (and it can be had for around £200) is a Cort GB34A. Nice slim Jazz Bass profile neck, active electrics, chunky bridge, decent hardware and build quality that would put a Jap Fender to shame. If you want to spend all of your budget, then the BG74 is to die for. They don't make them for a leftie or I'd have had one by now. D.
11. Just looking at some old photos and found this from about 2 years ago - my first rig after a 10 year or so break from playing bass. Samson Compressor Behringer Tuner (not as bad as people assume it is...) Warwick Profet 3.2 Yamaha BBT210 I still have the Samson, Behringer & now 2 of the Yam cabs (as well as an excess of other bass stuff). cheers D.
12. Hi would you do it for £35 posted? cheers D.
13.
Peavey PV6 ftw! best small mixer around, imo
Yes, great little mixer, built like a tank and comes with a 5 year, that's FIVE YEAR warranty! You'll never need it though............. D.
14. Here's a cheeky pic; Rosetti have just become a UK agent for them as well, which is quite interesting! Musik Schmidt have some prices; http://www.musik-schmidt.de/osc-schmidt/ca...803&sort=3a D.
15. They'll no doubt be expensive, but I want one!! http://www.tec-amp.com/index.php?id=137 D.
16. Those SX's and the 'no name' basses are made in the same factory. No name usually means Jim Deacon or similar........ I have one (pimped) and it's very similar to bassman2790 bass, except it's a leftie. D.
17. They're simply re-packaged Superflys...............and look pretty horrible in my opinion. D.
18. Did this sell..?? D.
19. Sold pending payment. D.
20. I'll reply to all PM's tomorrow - going out for dinner right now. D.
21. OK, here are some pics of the actual amp for sale; As you can see it's in great shape with just a few marks on the top. Loads of interest via PM, but nothing firm yet. C'mon folks.....£320 posted with the bag (no rack ears). D.
