1.
Good evening, Derek... I've taken the liberty of linking this thread to the 'For Sale' page on the Hofner forum which I frequent; please inform if this is a 'faux pas', my apologies and I'll withdraw it. Here's a link to my post there... http://www.hofner.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3049 Nice bass; good luck with the sale...
No problem, many thanks. The link seems to go nowhere though - do you need to be a member in order to see it? D.
2.
Are you accepting trades at all, or is this money only please?
Should have said, my fault. No trades thanks. D.
3. I bought this a while ago from an old boy who had owned it from new in the 60's. Apart from cleaning it up a bit & restringing it, it's exactly as he had it. As far as I know, all original and in not bad nick either. Neck has never been broken at the body join. Electrics are stamped 383, which denotes a 1963 year of manufacture. The Solo/Rhythm switch [s]isn't working[/s] actually is working - I just couldn't hear the difference through the small amp I tried it with and the action is on the high side (but not stupidly so). The bridge can be lowered if you're prepared to remove a small amount of material from the rosewood bridge. The truss rod could do with adjusting as well, but I didn't have a tool to fit (it's a small nut, smaller than a Gibson). Case is original as well and even though it's covered in all sorts of tape, it still works. Bass is strung with new D'addario Chromes. Looking for offers over £1200 please. More pics here: http://www.pbase.com/deksawyer/hofner cheers D.
4. I have the previous version of this and it's awesome - I don't know how this differs apart from the looks & weight but it's ridiculously loud. D.
5. Provisionally sold now - thanks for all the interest!! D.
6. More crappy pics. I'll do my best to get some camera pics rather than phone pics. There are no major dings on this bass at all, and very few minor ones. Change the rusty parts and the bass will be A1. I've never noticed before either, but it goes up to 11.......
7. Selling on behalf of a friend, his 1980 Wal Pro II E. General cosmetic condition (paint/controls etc) 9/10 apart from the rusty screws around the pickups and scratch plate. Machine heads have a small amount of rust on them as well, but it's a 32 year old bass we have here...and I think these minor issues can be fixed fairly easily and they're definitely reflected in the price. Bass plays and sounds great. Has original brown Wal case which is in remarkable condition. Price is a firm £1350 plus fully insured delivery. No Trades thanks. Here's some crappy pics. cheers D.
8. Yep, the cabs have been tucked away in my spare room and I forgot about them..... D.
9.
Great sounding cabs these. I've had the 410 and 210 versions. A bargain at the price too.
Too right - they're both mint as well!! D.
10. long awaited bump!! D.
11.
Hi, I've pm'd you about the Aria.
Aria now sold! Thanks very much Terry D.
12. 1980's Aria Pro II RSB Deluxe. Fair condition for its age, but no by no means pefect. Plays like a dream though and has one of the nicest necks I've ever played. Sounds pretty good too, with everything being original exept the bridge pickup having just been rewound by Aaron Armstrong. Basically a PJ pickup config with some weird switching involved - fully passive, with concentric Vol/Tone. They don't make them like this anymore those crazy Japs!! Black with gold hardware. Not too sure what it's worth but lets start at [s]£200[/s] and see what happens. [s]Price drop to £150[/s][s] & shipping[/s] SOLD Serial No. is 5082459, meaning (I think) that it was made in 1985. cheers D.
13. I like it too!! D.
14. What I meant to say though was - very nice!! D.
15. That's a shockingly lo-res porn type of photo (I've been told). However, being a lefty ACG owner I suggest we let our basses meet somwhere (we can keep an eye on them) and see what happens. No cheap ass photos though............ D.
16. Does the bass make all the noise when someone else holds and touches it? D.
17. Here's another few pics of mine. It's a beast of a bass and sill makes me smile.....
18.
kind of like you telling us your wifes a supermodel and then only showing a picture of her birthmark. I don't think that would have sold many copies of playboy
I agree, but since it's not actually my bass I don't want to post pics without the owners permission. I was just doing some work on it and bagged a few pics for myself. D.
19. Well, I'm not going to post any more than this: D.
20. A friend of mine picked up a 1962 P bass from a charity shop in Liverpool just before Christmas. Not nearly in as good a condition as this Jazzer, but he only payed £80 for it......it's genuine as well. D.
21. Hi Hadge I'd do it for £200 inc insured postage by UPS. No need to give me anything for packing it. You could send a bunch of noted in an envelope, but bank transfer is much safer!! All i'd do is give you my sort code & acc no. PM me if you wish to go ahead. cheers D.
22. Still for sale Hadge, cheers D.
