  1. Just need the earlier lighter brown Octaver to complete the set! Until the Waza Craft model is announced, of course...
  2. Just picked up a mid-eighties OC2 “Octaver”, in addition to my mid-eighties Japanese “Octave” and late-eighties Taiwanese “Octave” OC2s. This one actually seems to track a little better and sounds a little smoother than the other two.
  3. Agreed, in my shameful moonlight lighting as a weedy six-stringer, it’s my go-to overdrive, though excellent for bass too! Key distinction is the original flathead vs the Phillips head screw on the battery compartment. I have both, and both sound good, but the original British one has that colllectability value!
  4. Is this the early British model or the later overseas one?
  5. Is the Multicomp still going?
  6. How’s the balance on that? I would have thought a 34” scale would lead to a little neck dive...?
  7. Picked up a well-priced compressor. Chris responded to my query quickly. Nice smooth transaction and the pedal arrived very quickly and well wrapped.
  8. Genuine? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273105733253 Obviously the neck is a replacement, but could be quite a bargain if the body is a genuine Pastorius sig... All looks much as it should, but could just be a Jaco plate on a cheapo body...
  9. Good luck everyone! I've found me a train to get on, though at its current speed I may just live here now...
  10. Yep, aiming to head up from Portsmouth tomorrow, if the trains allow...
  11. So she says on Twitter...
  12. So she says on Twitter...
  13. I know we’re all about bass here, but it was quite cool hearing that Yolanda Charles will be playing with Guthrie Govan...
  14. Something I’m after - will pm in a sec.
  15. That’s pretty. And local... Not to get too off track, but do you play around Pompey, Pawel?
  16. What's the routing like under the scratchplate on this one? Most fenders nowadays seem to have a lot of wood missing around the picking + milling tool holes etc...
  17. Playing again this year, Steve, or not allowed to tell us yet? :-)
  18. Pretty sure the first year I went I bought tickets in September. Still no word on these on the website and no artist announcements yet...
  19. Just registering an interest... Watching a couple of these on Ebay at the moment, but will be back if nothing comes of them!
  20. Bit of an older thread, but presumably people have been using these for a while now... I've had a set on my go-to bass for about six months and they still seem to be going strong. Was wondering how these compare to the regular Dunlop roundwounds? I'm assuming the standards have a higher tension, but is the tone similar?
