1. Last day at work bump!
2. Thanks, it is a great sounding bass. I'll try and get some better shots, but working with a camera that's not the best!
3. Hi, is the EH headphone amp still going?
4.
It wasn't actually "vintage" at the time though. Just another Fender bass.
Still, a pre-CBS Precision is not something to be sniffed at...
5.
Steve Vai used to do the same... swap his Jem for a cheapo RG, smash it up then pick up the Jem again... the broken guitars would be rebuilt between shows.
Not so for Paul Simonon of the Clash. If you look at the front cover of London's Calling, that's an actual vintage P bass. The cheap copy was waiting in the wings but he got caught up in the moment...
6. I'm more of a 'cut to the chase guy' myself, but I can see the benefits of having the breakdown. I've tried teaching before and just couldn't do it, as I hadn't really analysed what I was actually doing before and found I couldn't explain it in broken down segments.
7. Beautiful! Just bought a 70's P though, so really ought to pay for that one first...
8. I've tried to work with a balanced set for a while now, but I've got to say that the D and G strings just seem lacking... They feel great under the fingers, but the tone has to be even as well. Going back to a 50 - 105 set myself.
