  1. Hey, that’s fairly close by! How… tempting…?
  2. Don't worry, it's here for you: http://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/69-effects-for-sale/
  3. Welcome - quite a few of us on here from Portsmouth and surrounding areas!
  4. I couldn’t possibly play anything competently left-handed, but have on rare occasion switched to LH when a hint is needed that a song we are playing may be a bit dull…
  5. I've actually found myself recently in a strange state where I'm not particularly searching for anything...
  6. Love mine - Great bass with almost Precision-like heft in a much smaller body!
  7. Two amps here: Markbass Micromark 801 - Tiny 1x8 combo for quieter practices and acoustic gigs. Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 - can use with one or 2 SL112 cabs depending on the gig. Also make great use of the Tone Hammer DI box for no-amp situations, or to run in as a preamp at gigs with borrowed gear - saves having to set up an unfamiliar amp.
  8. Oh, sorry - missed the notification for this comment. Will send a PM!
  9. I was there for a bit, but couldn’t stay too long. All in all, some nice gear, but very bass-light…
  10. I love my fretted uke, but somewhat wish I’d gone for the fretless model…
  11. Hipshot's probably not a bad shout. Should be reliable. Ortega haven't responded to my query about which brand they use, but they look pretty identical to to Kala Uke's.
  12. Overshooting with a pick possibly?
  13. Used to have one of these - best sounding amp I've ever owned! You do have to build up a few muscles to move the thing around though...
  14. Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement tuners for uke basses (mine is an Ortega LZZY)? Mine's been fine until recently when I went to do a bit of a clean and polish and one of the tuners has fouled up - jammed then started chewing up the gears when putting any pressure on.
  15. Can't see that anyone's mentioned this yet, apologies if so! www.brightonguitarshow.co.uk With the London Bass/Guitar Show seemingly dying a death, I'm giving this a go next weekend. Looks rather guitar-heavy, but there's a chance of some nice bass goodies. Anyone else heading along to this?
  16. Loop one is unbuffered (the idea being to use this one for fuzzes and drives). I did find this to be a little sensitive and worked better (more quietly) having a buffered pedal in front of the loop, which somewhat negated the point, but wasn't a particular issue.
  17. A few additional switching options available with this - It's designed as an all-in-one pedalboard system, so as well as the two switchable loops, you have a tuner out, volume can be controlled by an external expression pedal (this sits between loops one and two), and an A/B/Y output with switchable boost.
  18. Had someone note this on one of the straps in the pic (second to left). There is a slight dent in the leather, but no hole or other damage to it, just where it’s been pressed against something in the case. Detail pics below:
