1. I'm curious about getting one of these at some point, as I seem to be playing my Jazz mostly DI'd at the moment. Are there any decent alternatives worth looking into? Also, anyone got a picture of how far the knobs stick out in comparison to a standard Jazz?
2. A fender PJ!! Yes! Wait... no sunburst? No maple fretboards?
3. Bump again and again...

EHX Superego

Not a Superego, but I do use the EH Freeze a lot. I think they're both pretty good if you're into creating organ or synthy tones.
5. Bump for the start of the week!

7.
Just anything Boss/MXR sized turned 45 degrees? Or maybe a landscape 1590BB (same as your Fuzzrocious Demon). Any 1590a pedal? Si
Ack, sideways pedals!! I... I just can't!! *OCD attack*
8. It's got a bit of a Stanley Clarke vibe...
9. Tanglewood Curbow. Annoying really, cos it wasn't that cheap...
10. Bump again.
11. Everythings going to add some 'colour' to the sound some way or another. There's no way round it guys, unless we go back to playing un-amplified uprights really really hard...
12.
So, a nice transparent amp for volume and whatever pedals you want for tone. Perhaps?
That's the way I work. A cranked Ampeg or Marshall stack is great for rocking out, but not so much for other styles.
13. Johnny Nash - I can see clearly now
14. I think I irritate some of my bandmates. I always tap my foot to the music, but not neccessarily on the beat... I also have a tendancy to lock into the snare and hi-hat patterns rather than the bass drum...
15. I personally prefer no amp - DI straight into the PA. Failing that though, a good transparent amp is second best.
16. I do pretty much default back to adjusting my strap to approx. sitting height. Every now and then I watch too many videos of Peter Hook or some such and it creeps lower, but a bit of wrist pain brings me back to my senses!
17.
Lots of us said that about the last amp he ordered.... the LH1000 remember?
My 1001's still going strong, even after a few nasty falls!
18.
Can I ask what you guys use your tremolos for? Music style? Certain songs?
Still experimenting with mine. I wanted something that could go to the extreme, choppy style, but at the moment I'm mostly using it on a much milder rotary-esque setting (love Led Zep's Heartbreaker bass tone...).
19. Well, good luck! These are not easy to come by... May be worth looking into the Fishman Fission Bass Powerchord - essentially the same thing but on the market now!
20. Bump
21. I love my '99 Jazz, but it's build quality is shocking! The newer builds are far better, and (I think) 2012 models onwards have the vintage-style pickups in them that sound awesome.
22. Comfort and good technique is important if you don't want your hands to be crippled in a few years time. Cool is what you make it...
23. Old-school singlecut, yeah, cool. Modern style singlecut, hmmm, undecided. This:

Just...no...
24. Still prefer this intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_9NY56Sxw
25.
Love my PN-2, goes from gentle swells to fast chop and is a weird turquoise green! Lovely :-D Si
Agreed. Just started using one and very happy with it!
