1. There are always exceptions to any rule that you care to set up, but stereotypes are there for a reason. I wouldn't say it's always the case, but most bass players i've known have been easy going, laid back nice guys, most front men have been rather egotistical, most guitarists have been showoffs (and also extremely unconfident about their own skill) and most drummers have been somewhat... ummm, animalistic...?
2. I'd like to complain about people who hold things up by complaining about people who complain. It's about time something was done about it...
3.
Apparently we bass players are a miserable bunch who enjoy arguments!
Just thinking that I'd joined up to one of 'those' threads again....
4. Sid Vicious anyone? Oh, sorry, we were discussing bass players...
5. Bump for thursday, see you again at the weekend!
6. But it sounds better than the 'standerd' Jazz!
7. Just got the second Ima Robot album. Not as good as the first, but some good tracks on there. Trying to find more alternative stuff at the moment, mostly to wash the blandness of the pop-charts out of my brain...
8. It does all depend on what you want to sample/loop. If it's something to prepare beforehand, then some of the dedicated (and more complex) loopers are great if you've got time for them. If it's an on the fly loop you're after, keep it simple! The Akai and Ditto are the nicest simple ones I've seen recently (the Akai supposedly is discontinued last I heard, but seems to be available everywhere... please correct me though!). The Boss and Jamman ones aren't bad, but too many buttons for my liking...
9. They do go for some silly prices on ebay! Cool, I'll PM in a sec.
10. Interested in the PN-2. How do you rate the bypass on this? My pedalboard's getting sizable, so its an increasing concern!
11. Akai Headrush is an excellent live tool. Far less options than the others, but that makes it so easy to use!
12. Bump up and another price drop (I don't really have room for this in my lounge guys! Take it off my hands please!)
13. And another bump...
14. Bump again...
15. Saying that though, when do we call it a day for this bass? Providing it keeps working and doesn't fall apart, this could go on and on!
16.
Did you see the 2011/ 12 Precision Pro ? It was beautiful , which is why these latest ones are such a bad joke :
^That^ is pretty much my dream bass. This year's model... not so much... What confuses me is that the PJ configuration is so common elsewhere nowadays, but Fender just don't have it as a standard option. I missed out on the Late 90's/early 00's 'Hotrod' models and they've not come back since... :-(
17. ^^^ Sounds good! I'd be up for that!
18. Bump
19. Bump for Monday.

22. This cabinet has been kept in storage for long enough! This is a powerful, professional cabinet, rated at 400 watts. I bought this from new a few years ago, but it's always been a bit too big for what I've needed, so has never been pushed very hard. The cabinet is very transparent - it will give a fairly unadulterated representation of your bass and amp even at high volume. I've used this in a variety of different settings and it has always worked well. Note - the cab only has jack inputs. It works well with any amp I've tried it with, but if you want to use speakon cables, it won't accept them. Fully working, in very good condition. Collection from Portsmouth, Hampshire only please! Price drop to £150... 23. Ha, yeah quite possibly! Enjoyed being so close to many fine instruments i couldn't afford! Certainly tried out the range of Alembics that the Bass Centre had...
24. I actually found the Turbo Rat to have a more usable tone when played through directly, rather than in a blend loop. That said, the sweet-spot is very, very precise and the slightest twist in either direction caused me to disappear or blow the guitarist's ears off. He's still looking for them now... Great pedal, but I'm using a Rat Tail now too...
25. Now look, will someone please buy this bass? If it doesn't go soon I'm going to end up digging into my savings, and I really don't want to do that! Take away the temptation, please!!
