3. Excellent - it's in your blood for life now :-)
4.
It's actually quite rare for us to get major slapping going on in the shop. Maybe just because we have an older customer base than a high street store.
Lucky you! :-)
5. No probs at all here - I can buy whatever I want (within reason). Often if I'm looking at stuff for sale she'll say "are you going to buy it?" and has even helped me plan finances. I am very lucky! For those less fortunate the excellent little book "Living with GAS" has many tips others have used :-)
6.
Now then, repeat after me "I will NOT go to Promenade Music as it will put a large dent in my wallet". There...better now!
Lol ... yes, much better now thank you :-) Actually by the time we got as far along the front as that the shop had closed for the day. Oh well, next time ... :-)
7. Not too late for me, Ralph :-)
8. Looking forward to our new rock cover band's first night out :-)
9.
Good man:)
Thank you! :-)
10.
I haven't read through this thread but I'm assuming the previous 41 posts is everyone saying their current rig is the best they have ever heard?
Not in every case ...
11.
Rescue dogs by any chance?
Yes, all of them I'll take this opportunity for a shameless plug for the wonderful local rehoming charity we support :-) http://erinhounds.co.uk/
12. I suppose what I'm using now - nothing fancy, just an old TE AH-500 7 head with TE cabs (either 2 x 1x15 or 1x15 & 2x10) But I've love to have the classic SVT rig sometime :-)
13.
the one wearing the green collar?
Almost! Not wanting to be gender specific though, that's a girl named Beauty:-) Not even after copious amounts of wine would I even consider considering myself a beauty .. or a girl, lol :-)
14. Lol, you know I never even noticed that!
15. You have to guess which one is me :-)
16. All up to date here :-)
17. Good for that brown sound :-) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_note_%28disambiguation%29
18. That's going to sound awesome! :-) I use a 150 or 500w head through 1x15 & 2x10. it sounds and feels wonderful imho. I've got an extra 1x15 to try with the other 15 sometime too. Enjoy!
19. Unusually for me, nothing particularly :-|
20.
Absolutely, Trace Elliot and Warwick is another that springs to mind.
+1 Works for me too :-)
21.
Then I took it to a full-volume rehearsal yesterday. Still sounded good, mostly, but it farted out WAY too easily. I swopped it for my OTB500 and the difference was obvious ... headroom matters! I'll be using the Trace at all low/lowish-volume rehearsals, but I'd need its big brother if I wanted to gig with it.
I use my AH-150 7 for rehearsals and smaller gigs. We rehearse quite loudly but I've never had it on more than about 3. When I first got it I thought it farted out too quickly but I had the low frequencies boosted too much which can eat the volume. Now I use the amp's pre-set and a little tweak on the EQ and/or bass and I'm a very happy bunny :-) I bought an AH-500 7 and that's a beautiful amp as well. Good luck with yours :-)
22. Notice how the first 'e' in Fender and the word 'serial' seem to be overlapping. The whole serial number decal looks out of line to me as if the Fender and serial number have been put of at different times. Doesn't the Fender and serial number decal come as one waterslide?
23.
+1 on the demos of kit involving too much slapping ....
+100000000000000000!
24.
I've updated the list with and thanks for the likes we're getting:-)
Thanks :-)
