  1. Maruszczyk Barabass combo? Or rather the Ashdown ctm drophead?
  2. "Cyanoacrylate glue has a low shearing strength, which has led to its use as a temporary adhesive in cases where the piece needs to be sheared off later. Common examples include mounting a workpiece to a sacrificial glue block on a lathe, and tightening pins and bolts. It is also used in conjunction with another slower, but more resilient, adhesive as a way of rapidly forming a joint, which then holds the pieces in the appropriate configuration until the second adhesive has set. Cyanoacrylate-based glue has a weak bond with smooth surfaces and as such easily gives to friction" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanoacrylate And yes I have used rapid glue like this to secure nuts and bolts so they don't come loose through vibration or what have you. On cars, bicycles and industrial machinery. The 'super' bit is just marketing, like 'Krazy' glue. It bonds great with organic and porous materials. Have a look at the link provided.
  3. Absolutely adore that!
  4. When dry it's just a thin layer of plastic, a nudge with a fitting allen key will free it up for adjustment, same as nail varnish and Loctite thread lock.
  5. A touch of superglue on the thread will do the same as nail varnish.
  6. Boss tu-3 at the moment as it tunes great, can set it to strobe or normal and I use it as a buffered splitter. Before this was the TC polytune mini. The poly function didn't work for 5string bass but no biggie. Before that the ashdown bassometer which struggled with the low A and is huge.
  7. Neutrik is a brand of industry professional quality connectors. They make many types among which Jack and Speakon.
  8. Used to run one back when In had a Hartke ha3500 amp. I found it adequate but preferred the slightly tighter sounding peavey tvx 410, and SWR amps. Swapped the tvx out for a 412 which is great but definitely overkill.
  9. Any fan noise?
  10. True temperament frets And Robot tuners And D-tuners on all strings
  11. More compression lowers the spikes in volume to bring them in line with the body of the signal. More compression also raises the lowest troughs in volume resulting in a total output that is more predictable and can be overall louder without sudden spikes. The volume knob is there to bring the total output to desired level. This affects how heavy your signal hits the rest of the effects or preamps in your signal chain.
  12. The tonehammer is more vintage voiced but the Aguilar AG series is clean at all levels and responsive to the EQ.
  13. When buying these second hand just buy with your heart. Should be able to recoup your investment should you change your mind later, if you look after it. But please let us know how it turns out, with pictures
  14. I'm 192cm tall. Good luck in the mosh pit, Stilt-smurfs!
  15. Surely you can't hate this version!
  16. It can even ruin a perfectly acceptable band, cue Under the Bridge, More than Words etc.
  17. The bridge pickup is in the jazz position, not the Stingray position. Neither will do a decent Stingray impression.
  18. I'd pass on the amp. It's not going to give you anything that Hartke won't.
  19. Over the past 9 years I've used about 1 oz of the 4oz bottle of drDucks ax wax. It is going to last my lifetime. I get that homebrewing can be fun, but half a liter will supply a music school and all their students for a generation.
  20. The Thatchers
  21. Unloved, even by it's mother
  22. Are you stepping away from the Hartke 5500? When I'm looking at second hand 210s (mainland Europe area) there seem to be plenty of different Eden's available and they pair great for a punchy, solid and clear sound with Hartke amps. What region are you in?
  23. So a 14 day complete turnaround from mainland Europe to your doorstep and back, full refund confirmed after they have checked the returned item, and you go full Karen? Spoiled much?
  24. Don't pull down on the string when fretting it. It's a playing technique flaw. If you can't remedy your finger placement it can be mitigated by replacing the nut with one that has the slot filed slightly more away from the edge. As mentioned earlier.
