  1. JHS have all the rat, in a single box. https://www.jhspedals.info/packrat-release-mobile
  2. ISO acoustic do some very nice acoustic decoupling. Big fan.
  3. That SR5 is the wrong body shape. Gutted.
  4. Polytune mini 2 here. Not a problem on my 5ers and I tune AEADG.
  5. Slippery when wet got me into rock music when I was eleven years old. Left hairspray rock behind for heavier pastures very soon after that but they got me started none the less.
  6. All maple was great on my MM Sr5. Partial maple on the Cellar V neckthrough reinforced with carbon rods. Rosewood on the Spector, looks good.
  7. About a fiver over budget but highly recommended: Samson HD850 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-SR850-Professional-Reference-Headphones/dp/B002LBSEQS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=P1ACHJRBGCEV&keywords=samson+hd850&qid=1653861843&sprefix=samson+hd850%2Caps%2C89&sr=8-1 I bought a two pack from Thomann about 4 years ago to go with the electric drum kit and various applications, faultless so far for the price.
  8. I'm fortunate my only hangup is break-fluid. I can stop any time I want!
  9. Brief list of Korg owned companies: https://www.korgusa.com/
  10. I have to amend my original statement. I'd still go with the hipshots probably but last night I used my Spector euro lx5 at rehearsal for the first time in three or four months. It was still perfectly in tune! Not a cent out! It's got Gotoh tuners on it.
  11. Just like audiophiles hearing their silver connector cables wrought by Elven Smiths in the light of the full moon.
  12. My main bass has a single EMG humbucker in the Stingray position and a volume knob. It's great.
  13. I'd go with hipshot again. Although the quality of the plating is abysmal they are the most steady tuners I've come across.
  14. Amazing how people, in face of facts, resort to hearing with their "common sense" 😄
  15. Sounds like a friend in crisis.
  16. And the illustrious 'round' tone. There are no agreements on what that constitutes.
  17. This is the only bass I keep with flats on. It's just a good sounding bass with enough options to be a work horse.
  18. Just gigged one last night as the venue provided it. There's naught wrong with the power or the sound. Both my Engl amp and the following band's Gallien & Krueger sounded full but tight. It's really down to the hassle of moving it around. I preferred putting it on a dolly to using the tilt wheels and handle bar, which sits too low.
  19. It's no Peavey tvx but it's all right. A stupid weight to lug around though and too low to schlep comfortably. I'd sooner get an 810
  20. The Cali76 compact deluxe would be the first thing I'd buy again if something happened to my pedal board. I tried the bass one but didn't like the integration of functions under a single dial so I sent it back.
  21. The power rating for tube amps is based on a signal without (=with minimal) distortion. When you push the gain beyond the point of distortion you get a lot of sweet sweet volume. There are more forces at work but I think this is the major part (ooh err)
  22. Hard case. If you're worried about it taking a hit, wrap it in cling film (Saran wrap in some areas). Protects extrusions like the locks etc.
