  1. What I use to practice at home is a IRig (HD2) into an ipad with amplitube installed. Either use headphones (Sennheiser HD 25 in my case, other options are available) or connect a small amp. I have a Kustom defender 15h amp and cab, not ideal for bass but good enough for home use. However I can recommend the Roland Cube for bass, very nice, tiny, many many options.
  2. I believe the original question was resolved 8 months ago, so it's all moot now. In my experience cheap subs make sound worse rather than better, and one is better served by concentrating on the main thing: the unit that creates most voice and music.
  3. Likewise fast, polite and helpful response anytime I contacted Warwick. Most recently last year for a 5string bridge.
  4. It's not wrong getting something you think is 'the shiz'. It's pretty weird that it's a 7ender. edit: you're crazy.
  5. Bon Jovi used my method described above pretty consistently, and made a buck or two!
  6. Tell them what the song is called or about Introduce the situation and the main characters Why is it not straight forward for this situation to evolve into a happy ending, what's the trouble. Tell them what the song is about or the name of the song Do that again How was the trouble resolved, describe the happy ending Tell them the name of the song some more. There you have it. The ultimate songwriting guide!
  7. Honestly how many of these videos are 'great' without the music? Great memories maybe? As a btw: videos on BC do not play with sound for me since the site overhaul.
  8. I use a TC polytune mini. The poly part is useless for bass but single strings are fast and accurate. Good display, silent operation. I use it to mute in between songs as well.
  9. Love this video. Absolutely not my sort of music.
  10. Are your sinuses clogged up?
  11. An alternative, though expensive, could be etymotic active earplugs. (Not affiliated) https://www.etymotic.com/consumer/hearing-protection/mp915.html
  12. When you have nothing nice to say...
  13. Agree, although my favourite is the Exodus version.
  14. Any of these useful?
  15. Did you try bax-shop.nl ? It's a Dutch company.
  16. You can ring or email asking them to do a visual inspection or send some detail pics of the item you are interested in. I have bought Bax b-stock without issue, I have also returned a pristine beyerdynamic dt700 pro headphone to them because I didn't like it's sound (chose a Sennheiser HD 25 over it). They are actually shop based, with stores at several locations, and a huge warehouse for the internet stock.
  17. Start munching, both of my guitarists like the bass up front in the mix
  18. In the old days radio would dictate what you should be listening to for 'free'. Spotify offers bands great and smol a platform to be heard, and is actively promoting shows in your area by the band's you're listening to. Also links to band merch and hardware are now on Spotify. Now if Spotify would distribute my monthly fee just between the artists I've played that month, that would be great. I suspect people who think rock is dead have lost touch. Give a quality performance in both music and show and people age 16 to 60 will appreciate!
  19. Scratch plate, plectrum (plural plectra), lamps or tubes (never valve).
  20. Add a squirt of cleaning alcohol too, leave no stripes.
  21. The only things you will regret are when you were a Richard to someone.
  22. Laminating woods is an old trick to make average wood good, or good wood great.
