  1. How many Ohm on the RS122?
  2. You people not posting names can go suck toe. Your reference is meaningless if we don't know who you're talking about. Les Claypool: Jo Bench:
  3. Any reason why you're not putting the string end inside the tuner? https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxrhCj3H4bf1hnNJYpdLnBf_Ghw1lqsis1?si=31TAKsZF59eKL66d No sharp ends, no slipping, better tuning stability.. I'm curious why someone wouldn't do it correctly.
  4. iirc the EQ does a lot of gain, turning up bass/mid/treble could overdrive it a bit more. Turning them down and the volume up should get a cleaner signal still.
  5. Try a different outlet? Same speaker with a different amp? Are the impedances matched for amp and speaker?
  6. Rubbish. had it been sung properly and had a choreografy with less of a 'killroom' vibe, it could have done well enough. The jingoism really is a bit of a turn off.
  7. Not within the EU both ways. That said, I once flew Amsterdam -London and back for a closed-wallet swap of basses. Wasn't much more costly than shipping both ways and much more secure.
  8. Can confirm now. I picked up a second hand one. The EQ is effective and lets you dial in vintage, modern, funky, scooped, fat or whatever vibe you need. Goes loud quickly too. Only thing it's missing is character, there's no form of saturation or drive. Very portable, affordable, fine backup.
  9. I have a battalion as backup in case something should happen to my amp, what do you want a pedal for?
  10. Agreed, racers are not proper bikes for urban or commute situations at all.
  11. And maybe of the price? When you have to inquire via encrypted microdot by the duckpond in an unpopular park I get Rolls Royce vibes "if you have to ask you can't afford it"
  12. Many options present themselves when searching for "cargo bicycle" including ones with reinforced carrying racks and such. At the rehearsal facility here in Utrecht about half the musicians get in by bike, most with instruments on their back, amps not so much.
  13. Front and center. Combining bass and lead vocals has its perks.
  14. Maruszczyk Barabass combo? Or rather the Ashdown ctm drophead?
  15. "Cyanoacrylate glue has a low shearing strength, which has led to its use as a temporary adhesive in cases where the piece needs to be sheared off later. Common examples include mounting a workpiece to a sacrificial glue block on a lathe, and tightening pins and bolts. It is also used in conjunction with another slower, but more resilient, adhesive as a way of rapidly forming a joint, which then holds the pieces in the appropriate configuration until the second adhesive has set. Cyanoacrylate-based glue has a weak bond with smooth surfaces and as such easily gives to friction" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanoacrylate And yes I have used rapid glue like this to secure nuts and bolts so they don't come loose through vibration or what have you. On cars, bicycles and industrial machinery. The 'super' bit is just marketing, like 'Krazy' glue. It bonds great with organic and porous materials. Have a look at the link provided.
  16. When dry it's just a thin layer of plastic, a nudge with a fitting allen key will free it up for adjustment, same as nail varnish and Loctite thread lock.
  17. A touch of superglue on the thread will do the same as nail varnish.
  18. Boss tu-3 at the moment as it tunes great, can set it to strobe or normal and I use it as a buffered splitter. Before this was the TC polytune mini. The poly function didn't work for 5string bass but no biggie. Before that the ashdown bassometer which struggled with the low A and is huge.
  19. Neutrik is a brand of industry professional quality connectors. They make many types among which Jack and Speakon.
  20. Used to run one back when In had a Hartke ha3500 amp. I found it adequate but preferred the slightly tighter sounding peavey tvx 410, and SWR amps. Swapped the tvx out for a 412 which is great but definitely overkill.
