  1. How about a muzzle?
  2. Haven't tried mine live yet. Seems to have fairly good off axis rejection. Works fine in the rehearsal room for a old school thrash metal band. What is the issue on stage?
  3. Or try a SM7b
  4. As a singing bass player...
  5. A quick google tells me there's no shortage of 8ohm 210s. It could yield a 110, 210, 310 or 410 configuration for any size room or stage together with the current cabs. Possibly more convenient to carry too. I like 12 inchers myself.
  6. Or get a 210 for even more flexibility?
  7. I use DR strings DDT5-55 to tune my Stingray 5 to AEADG. Zero issues.
  8. Cool! Headstock looks like a classic Spector with the upper stretched to fit the 4 in line config. Smart move.
  9. I feel this avant-garde thing has been done and was rightly left in the past.
  10. Never heard a bad word about them, not sound or build quality.
  11. Apparently if you have a recent audiogram (hearing test results) you can program the airpods to compensate for any hearing loss. The FDA even approved them as over-the-counter hearing aids. Edit: probably only for mild hearing loss
  12. I'd go with a string of colourful LEDs, add to the show and only the actually blind can claim to have missed them. Drape over the monitors or guirlande from the micstands?
  13. Hot-glue a sansamp to the gss (baby) sumo. Done.
  14. 9v or 18v has very little to do with how hot the output signal is. I've had passive basses with a hotter output than any of my stingrays. A higher voltage pre could theoretically give a more dynamic signal, if providing higher peaks and a lower noise floor.
  15. The pickups are in a different position. Perhaps a three band Stingray is more what you're after.
  16. This sounds like a job I'd have a local luthier take a look at before getting wild with tools myself.
  17. As bass player and lead singer this would put me in a awkward position
  18. It would also solve the sound pressure attenuation. Making them not protect your hearing.
  19. Naughty smell mattress
  20. They're there, their.
  21. Gorgeous, makes me wish I wasn't located on mainland EU.
  22. Except those have no damping rating and you'd be exposing yourself to unknown levels of sound pressure.
  23. "hand made chassis" a smith is hammering the casing out by hand? 2x1500watt at 8Ohm, why not call it a 5000watt amp then if that's what it runs at 4Ohm? The marketing lingo throwing up dust clouds. This all sounds like Bugera trickery to me. Bullhead? I think what comes out the other end of the bull.
  24. Oh I was under the assumption that they were passive open louvres that close when a high energy sound wave hit. I have zero hunting experience.
