They are in my bass, smoke detectors etc. AA batteries I use rechargeable Imedion, very long shelf-life and reportedly 15000 recharge cycles.

I use lidl/aldi 9v batteries. Last more than a year. I typically Change batteries and strings in one go, if they need changing or not. Never one fail on me. Someone told me most 9v batteries roll out of the same factory, with different branding on the outside.

Luthiers without their own model will probably be less sought after than those that are known for their own merit. Wal, MTD, Ritter and some others will attract more collectors than those that make their own jazz version and barely anything distinctive.

Really get in to it, it's great party music! Plus the punters deserve a good effort.

'sunbeam' implies a bright sound, lo riders sound a little fatter. Roll off a little Bright or Presence or whatever and it should be fine. Glad that moving the amp fixed your problem! Love DR's

I doubt with lead shot stuck in the fibre is tore up and will not pop back in it's original shape. Have a chat with a luthier about possible finishes, I think I read somewhere that once you go oil it is a b!tch to go back to paint later.

You can drill out the holes and bung them. I wouldn't change the rest honestly, just wax it it's cool.
