1. Metallica is well known for forgetting lyrics, skipping a verse or chorus here and there, and of course being complete w***ers.
2. It's not any different for a .net (or any other) code monkey. Usually they'll just say 'I'm in i.t.' and people relate 'ooh I have a computer! Fun isn't it.'
3. Disgusting. I sold kidney, blood and bone marrow to have a decal on the headstock that the birds can fawn over! Musicians dragging random assortments of garbage onto the stage cheapens the experience for both band and public! We, the entertainers, are artists. We have standards to maintain!
4. Any good fix would require the pot to be removed from the body I think. In the hobby of converting war gaming miniatures it is quite common to use the tiny drill and wire method, although those objects never have any torque applied to them. The safest way I recon is to replace the whole pot. If you feel your soldering skills are not up to snuff perhaps there is a skilled electrics enthusiast near you?
5. +1 for a 212 GK is well known for rock/metal bass. The only 'right' thing to do is take a day off and play what they have in the music shops.
6. Most stuff peavey makes seems to be designed to withstand and strike down the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
7. Sycamore is the name of the tree, maple the name of the wood maybe? Same plant it seems.
8. Not to be a pain, because the bass looks great, but why is it sold 5 times in 10 years if it's so good?
9.
Well obviously, the one that sounds best would be mine
10. Love 412s! Mesa Boogie, Glockenklang, ebs, vanderkley, tecamp and others all make great 412s. Get a neodymium if you can afford.
11. Sennheiser hd25-1 on-ears. Give them a listen before you buy anything.
12. I'm using DDTs in standard tuning, with only the low B dropped to A. I'm hooked.
13. Didn't MusicMan make their combo's with a SS pre and valve power section?
14. Did you check the neck pocket for a serial?
15.
OK with active basses but the low input impedance will noticeably drop off the highs with a passive. Most small mixers don't offer a high impedance (instrument) input.
That sounds plausible. I have had no trouble with StingRay5, Dean stylist (passsive), MTD kingston 5(passive), or B.C.Rich Beast (dimarzio very hot passive). A USB interface works ok, but you have to have a computer running. The core of my recommendation is don't skimp on the headset. The difference between the sennheiser 201/202 and the hd25-1 is quite large.
16. And yet words are misinterpreted right here, what does this mean for written music?
17. A little mixer like the behringer xenyx 502 with a good headphone for bass like a Sennheiser hd25-1. You can use anything in your signal chain. Works a treat for me.
18. Oh how about some rockabilly dames! http://youtu.be/MUOR2UxBOiI Horrorpops http://youtu.be/8fyr0zbaFyE The Cramps
19. I'm surprised so many people here have sex problems!
