1. Most stuff peavey makes seems to be designed to withstand and strike down the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
2. Sycamore is the name of the tree, maple the name of the wood maybe? Same plant it seems.
3. Not to be a pain, because the bass looks great, but why is it sold 5 times in 10 years if it's so good?
4.
Well obviously, the one that sounds best would be mine
5. Love 412s! Mesa Boogie, Glockenklang, ebs, vanderkley, tecamp and others all make great 412s. Get a neodymium if you can afford.
6. Sennheiser hd25-1 on-ears. Give them a listen before you buy anything.
7. I'm using DDTs in standard tuning, with only the low B dropped to A. I'm hooked.
8. Didn't MusicMan make their combo's with a SS pre and valve power section?
9. Did you check the neck pocket for a serial?
10. Wow!
11.
OK with active basses but the low input impedance will noticeably drop off the highs with a passive. Most small mixers don't offer a high impedance (instrument) input.
That sounds plausible. I have had no trouble with StingRay5, Dean stylist (passsive), MTD kingston 5(passive), or B.C.Rich Beast (dimarzio very hot passive). A USB interface works ok, but you have to have a computer running. The core of my recommendation is don't skimp on the headset. The difference between the sennheiser 201/202 and the hd25-1 is quite large.
12. And yet words are misinterpreted right here, what does this mean for written music?
13. A little mixer like the behringer xenyx 502 with a good headphone for bass like a Sennheiser hd25-1. You can use anything in your signal chain. Works a treat for me.
14. Oh how about some rockabilly dames! http://youtu.be/MUOR2UxBOiI Horrorpops http://youtu.be/8fyr0zbaFyE The Cramps
15. I'm surprised so many people here have sex problems!
16. I own an early kingston one aswell, passive witha single humbucker. Playability is better than my SR5, but the tone was too dark for me. Very deep and chocolaty. Upgraded the hardware and electronics, now it's brutal.
17. Have you thought about coupling your LB30 with more and more efficient speakers? The difference between a neo 412 or a ferrite 110 are immense! That said, my Verellen Meatsmoke preamp pedal works amazingly well in front of a clean SS amp. One clean channel and one lush dirty channel, each with it's own 3band eq, gain (in) and master (out) volume. It will pass a double blind test!
18. If weight is a consideration definitely play a MTD. Best ergonomical bass I've played.
19. Usualy drive mine around upright in the passenger seat. The bass. I'd be in the drivers seat. Obviously.
20. Why do you want to know? I could nitpick about stuff like the banter before the songs being meh. A little enthusiastic on the fast picking bass on the first track (did I just say that? I must be getting old). The vocals too shouty for the laid back music they're playing. I could also say the drums seem appropriate and the guitars sound great, nice fat but articulate tone on the bass. A good 7.5 out of 10 for the genre.
21. I have experienced good results from DR strings, notably the lo-riders and even better from the DDTs. A bit heavier gauge on the D and G than usual may also help compensate. Pickup height and action could play a part too, aswell as the stuff mentioned above.
22. Contact the Warwick uk distributor and see if they can be of any service? Even if they charge you for repairs that might be worth it if it's a good bass.
23. If the sixties had no sex in we would be a dying breed. Also, use all of the names to point to the same website.
24. It's my favourite way to get a free night's out. Walk in to a venue with some promising bands on the poster, carrying my backup rig. Set up on stage, find the bass players and talk them in to using it in exchange for free access to the backstage fridge. 😊
