1. We had one of these in the 80s: Goldstar msx home computer system!
2.
[Blatant Topic Hijack] Elite Commander here, too, both past (very modestly..! ) and future (doubtless even more modestly..! ). My PC is too creaky to play the Betas, so they have been loaded onto our eldest's for evaluation and admiration. I'll be sorely tempted to get adequate hardware, I don't doubt, but SHMBO has to be convinced first. There is hope, but it won't be soon... [/Blatant Topic Hijack]
Load the pc full of porn, explain the concept of ransomware, and declare you will not bow to terrorism! There really is nothing else you can do but purchase a i7 4770, gtx 780, 500G ssd system. That'll teach them!
3. It is completely unfair to enter a discussion with any knowledge of the topic that you had prior to the start of the discussion! That way I can hardly ever win at internetting.
4. Aye, get two real 212s. Or set up away from the wall and angle them towards your ears and redo the eq sensibly maybe?
5. Barman and one regular, who was quite annoyed with all the racket.
6. It is not 'just the Internet' it is MY internet and you are all trespassing! Get off my lawn!
7. Ask them! We don't know. Though we love to speculate
8. If there's room for another battery, the mod to 18v is quite easy and cheap!
9. Looks nippy out. I hope he doesn't catch his death a cold.
10. Congrats!
Yep, doubling up on cabs I find very rewarding. Have had the 210/115 set-ups, and used 410/115, but I`ve now found that getting a cab you like, then adding another is the best way to getting a really great sound. The 2 x 410 must be great - individually each speaker probably not all that bassy, but all eight at once, yum!
Hmm maybe I should start saving money for a second 412 then. Drums will murderize me!
12.
I bought a compilation called Metal Killers from Woolworths in the 80's and Venom's "song" black metal was a bit of a shock to the system. Venom were releasing albums back in 1979 - which makes them the original black/death metal as far as I know.
While introducing heavier vocals Venom just does not do the proper death grunt. Musically yeah, but the question was vocals
13. I guess possessed got the first album out with Seven Churches in 1985 and their Death Metal demo of 1984. By 87 Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Death and a handful of others consolidated the genre, most of them inspired by Black Sabbath, Venom, Slayer, etc.
14.
bold !
I'm very font of these type of puns.
15.
No-one else has mentioned this - when I tried out a Ray, I found that you get the same sound whether you play soft or really dig in. I can see how this would be useful, but I didnt get on with it, I like to vary my sound by varying technique, which the Ray didnt respond to. But the Sterling really is a nice beast.
Dunno, I always dig in.
16. "We take instruments away from children" As a parent, I can only applaud such a worthy cause!
17. I dislike how the lakland goes from fancy to very plain wood body to head, should've got a matching top.
18. I'm not going to say what I really think of the bass and Fender's 'craftsmanship'. I hope it pleases and sounds better than you dreamed it would!

20. http://www.numberoneguitars.com/shop/ Try this guy for Bach instruments if instruments online doesn't work out for you. I know him from the dutch version of basschat: basgitaarforum.nl and he talks with BaCH regularly.
21.
don't! a bit of cardboard inside the cover will do the trick, as suggested.
Why not? Just rounding off the edge won't even take off a 1mm slant. The fact that MM does it to their own polepieces now says enough. It's not going to remove so much material as to reduce the strength of the magnetic field. The cardboard will work too though
22. Hi Rod I have no experience with that company, and their business address seems to be a home in a residential area (yay streetview). It appears a bit awkward to me, but they claim to supply many music schools. I'd say shoot them a email with a number of questions that require more than average knowledge of their products. Disect their answer or post here (or pm me) so we can try to call hoax or honest They do seem to be registered as a bonafide business, from what I read in the conditions page.
23.
Arses!
Agreed. This is how we'll pronounce Status henceforth. Arses!
24. Have a look at conklin, those instruments look amazing too! No personal experience with any luthier though, I just GAS for pretty things
25. Oh wait no, those are for the stRingray ><
