1. My '96 SR5. Perfect for the music I love to play.
2. Learn the catch phrase, use it as intro to our next song.
3.
+1. Imagine what the guy would be like with....TWO strings !!
Bollocks probably, like me on a 6. (Not that I'm brill now)
4.
instant success in a Cowbell boy/girl band
There, I fixed it.
5. Done my daily chores.
6. I'd guess it's more to do with availability and accessability of electronics. For instance any garageband equipped device is a portal to 'musicianing' without any knowledge of instruments.
7. I went from 125-100-85-60-45 to 135-105-90-70-50 (DR ddt) and love it. More even tonality and can drop the low b to a when I feel like it with no loss of definition in my sound. Bass/setup/make of strings/ears make all the difference.
8. https://www.loveourlocalbusiness.com/base/lolb2desktop?region_id=gb-en&content_id=94315&noflash Just reposting the address for bumpsake.
9. I had to look it up to see what that is all about. Get the one that looks best on you. MM does for me.
10.
I don't think I had the mic gain set up right and the result were some extremely distorted and, at times, pretty indistinct recordings.

"The bass sounded a bit too clean. I think you should have some more reverb when we perform so there's more of a groove going."
Could this be an attempt at the humor called Sarcasm? Edit:spelling >.<
11. Because they can. Because they come from a different era with more choice in electronics and engineering, and different ideas on what sounds good. And because marketing.
12. Peavey had some valve powerblocks.. classic 120 or something? However I don't think you are going to get that 'bounce' from switching poweramps. That's gain stage stuff right there, as poweramps are generally designed to just make it louder. .... Found a pic:
13.
'I think I'm pregnant'.
Bloody drummers!
14. Ashdown has quite a diverse offering and pricerange in combos, sounds like you got stuck with a tourbus model instead of a Neo. I'd like to draw your attention to a lesser known brand: Hevos (I'm in no way or form affiliated with them btw) http://www.hevos.nl/en/combos
15. It's impossible to find a brass guitar!
16. Ashdown and Hartke both offer great pro combo's. Instead of the soon-to-be-discontinued Genz Benz you may want to chexk them out. Give them a listen!
17. Rotosound 66 swingbass yeah: [Img]http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t275/aguy133/RotosoundRS66LC.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> Edit: TB has a thread (hah....hah) on string silk colours http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f16/silk-colors-717720/ Congrats on the 'ray
18.
If the supplied oil is for treating an unfinished neck it's probably something like gunstock oil & won't be suitable for using on a fingerboard.
Gunstock oil is great for maple fretboards, even rosewood. Ebony should need very little looking after. Gunstock WAX goes on the back of an unvarnished neck only. If the supplied oil says to use it on the back only, use it on the back only

20.
Daughter has expressed an interest in playing the guitar and is learning a few songs on my acoustic. With the forthcoming silly season I thought I would buy her a leccy guitar. What does the panel recommend for a teenager to learn on? Budget is under £200 (£150 would be nice...).
Which ever she finds prettiest. Anything else will get zero play.
21. A single 2x12 will often do the job of a 410 but with more alacrity. 12s seem stronger in the low mids and weaker in the sub ranges (generally speaking ofcourse!) Making them cut through easier. Less speakers may mean more portability. Add a second 2x12 for full stack power or maybe an 18 for monster subs I use a 4x12. Lighter than a 8x10, loud enough for anything, gargantuan tone.
22. With the rocket on!
