1.
Awesome guys! Can anyone comment on the wood choices. I also had my eye on the SR1800 y'see, and I just wondered how the two compare tonally? SR1300 body: Ash & Walnut top/Mahogany back body SR1800 body: Rosewood & Flamed Maple top/Walnut & Mahogany back body. I'm not a wood aficionado, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed that the SR1800 features BOTH Rosewood and Mahogany (typically warm sounding woods). Does this means that SR1800 would be 'warmer' sounding overall compared to the SR1300, which features an Ash top (Ash being typically brighter)? Or am I totally mistaken? lol.
Technically you're correct on the tonal differences but the difference would be so minor as to be inconsequential. I would just choose whichever you prefer aesthetically, to be honest.
2. Lol it's the bane of my life!
3. I have an SR1205 - it's a fantastic bass. The quality is outstanding!
4. I just had an email apologising for the delay and giving me tracking info. Apparently mines still in America, I'm in no rush so that's fine with me.
5.
Am I the only bugger still waiting?
Mine hasn't turned up either. I won't start worrying till the end of the week.
6. https://soundcloud.com/rikki-boyes/reality Here's my attempt - apologies as usual for the feeble attempts at vocals and lyrics. I'll be honest - I didn't actually notice there were two pictures until far too late so I've just worked from the first picture from which I got a punk vibe ( I don't know why!).I see I've gone a very different direction to the others so far (nice work btw!) - oh well, variety is the spice of life etc! :-P
7. Do you know what the string spacing is? Cheers
8. That is beautiful. I live in Swansea too - all I need is to win the lottery!
9. I went in first thing this morning and it was like the OP described, but just went in and it's back to normal. Maybe they were doing maintenance or something?

13. Hello all! Here's my entry for this month - https://soundcloud.com/rikki-boyes/mountains I'm afraid I sing in this one. As always - I apologise!
14.
Ibanez SR series!
This.
15. Another vote for the Chord OC50 from me!
16. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/288209-pedal-train-nano-effects/page__pid__3090021#entry3090021 There's a Markbass Octave pedal for sale here - I've not played through one myself but they have a reputation as an excellent Boss OC2 clone.
17. I sold this bass to the OP and I can confirm he's a decent chap and that the bass is excellent - I only got sold it because I didn't need 6 strings. GLWTS
18.
If you want a fast, thin neck, have you thought about one of the modern Ibanez basses? They are extremely well priced, high spec, and well manufactured from what I've heard. I wouldn't personally bother with a fanned fret 4 string...5 sting maybe....(again see Ibanez).
Yeah, I'd agree with all of that.
19. Voted - great stuff as always!
20.
Another modest vote for Reaper. It costs nothing to try it out, alongside others, and compare. If it's not chosen, just un-install, no loss. If it wins out, it's not at all expensive. It must be worth at least looking into, no..?
I concur.
21. Bought a pedal off Dan. All went smoothly and the pedal arrived promptly and well packaged.
22. Great band - am really enjoying their set!
