1. Another vote for the Aftershock here - I've got a Source Audio OFD and it's fantastic.
2.
Well here's my entry for this month - https://soundcloud.com/rikki-boyes/junkyard-funk I knew I wasn't going to have much time this month to come up with something (still setting up in my new job) so I decided to set myself the challenge to limit myself to one evening to compose and record this months entry and this was what resulted. It's kind of sloppy/thrown together and the ending is a bit rushed but I did enjoy making it, at least! I wish I could spend more time polishing it, but it is what it is! I apologise for the all the inadequacies! :-)
I've slightly reedited my entry. I've also added a vocoded vocal part. I'm not sure if it actually works but I thought it needed something to give it a focus.
3. I bough a pedal off Kev - all went smoothly. Recommended seller.

5. I had a Chord OC50 octave pedal. I really liked it, but sold it in the end when I got a Boss OC2. The Chord tracked as well as the Boss and was slightly more aggressive in tone.
6. Well done Mornats!
7.
Eek! My one and only vote has been stolen! It's a fix I tell ya!
You've got your vote back!☺
8. That's very odd - i voted for you. All my votes have gone - I don't know how, I haven't been in this thread for ages. I'll revote now!
9.
If Billy Sheehan or the bass player from Royal Blood recorded a noodle using their biamped live rigs which run two separate sounds originating from a single instrument, would that count as having two tracks?
Yeah I wouldn't consider that 2 tracks at all.
10.
I really liked the way everybody took inspiration from the picture and chose different world viewpoints. They were all pretty dystopian though! That says to me that it was a very good choice of picture Rikki.
I'm glad you liked the picture! I just voted - some really good stuff here, it was hard to narrow it down to 3.
11. They mustve been selling a batch of these as I picked up a fretless one too!
12.
Would you be up for £500 and an Immac squire 5 to tide you over til you can land a 5 fanned fret?? I'm only in Cardiff, could pop down or meet up?
Pmd
13. Here's my entry for this month. It's a bit of a rush job I'm afraid - I've started a new job this week so I can't spare much time to get this composition as tight as I'd like. It's a shame really cos I think it had some potential. If I have time I will have another go at mixing and mastering it. It seems I had a similar idea to Nigel (nice track btw!) with a dystopian future ending in a rebellion of sorts. https://soundcloud.com/rikki-boyes/fight-the-fight
14. Haha I wouldn't mind that breakfast too! It's tuned in standard 6 string tuning which is BEADGC, all the note patterns used on 4 string apply to the extra 2 strings.
15. I must admit that was a lot better than I thought it would be. Good stuff!
16. I had a SR506. It was a top notch instrument.
17. Voted great stuff - Agwin's effort was the standout for me!
18.
I'm a newbie when it comes to music and recording, but may give this a go!
Go for it! I've found it a great learning experience and a lot of fun.
19. I've got one of these - really great bass! Youre right about the naming thing being complicated!
20.
obviously
Manners now.....
