Second the laptop bag, mine is large enough to put the head for the TC BH250 in too.

There is a Blackstar ID TVP260 on the For Sale forum, bit of a drive from Warwick to Norwich but might be worth a look.

Transcribing your own stuff - learning to read

I use TuxGuitar. Put it in as Tab and it populates the score for you (I can read music as well). Should be available for any OS (its a Java application I think) and it is Free. If I want to print out a tab or score from it, I export to Lilypond and edit/convert to PDF in Frescobaldi. -

Alter Bridge - The Last Hero. -
Unless I can make it to the Devin Townsend or Alter Bridge gigs, looks like it will be Iron Maiden at the O2 in May.

Thanks for sharing that, I passed it on to my daughter - she is basing her GCSE Music composition project on Movie Themes.
Ah. Potential stumbling point. I have read today that guitars can damage bass amps (and basses damage guitar amps). Does anyone have any knowledge on this? I always thought that bassists like Mike Kerr plugged into guitar amps no problem and guitarists into bass amps no problem (can't think off the top of my head). Seeing that all of the amps in the house are bass amps, would I need to get an amp too? That would then mean I start looking at starter sets as opposed to just a guitar...
I think we have had this discussion before. It probably depends on the amp and speakers. I have fed my guitar through my TC BH and Cab many times and all you get it a mega clean guitar sound. Would the bass speakers handle guitar frequency distortion/fuzz, good question. What music are you intending to play? Blue and other cleaner sounds, I would be more than happy with my Bass Amp - Metal, probably not. The other option is a multi effects pedal into a PC with headphones - do that a lot myself.

My B4 is a well built bass. It is the same as an Ibanez SR600 but with a chunkier neck (made in the same factory I understand).

At 16 - Iron Maiden.

there's a law against that, isn't there?
I was just checking Gumtree, and this leapt out at me... https://www.gumtree....one-/1184137452 I always had my suspicions about those brass players, you know. :taps nose significantly:
Hmmm, as a former Brass player - I would like to point out that a Sax is a Woodwind instrument. -
yes I suspect a lot of these 'offers' don't come to fruition, there does seem a lack of 'what happened next' programmes
They normally do a "catch up" programme at the end of each series. -
As has been pointed out, they're not a 3 piece. Dunno why bands like muse and green day don't just make the sidemen full members of the band - they can't do a gig without them after all.
Jason White is now officially the fourth member of Green Day.

Personally, and I am no expert, but I think it just took away the piezo "quack" - which I think is a good thing.
Loved the show, and great work by The Caffreys (well done Michael), but it left me wanting to know more about the Acid-Bhangra-Rock outfit from Peterborough, Kissmet. At their initial piece of the show when they were rehearsing I thought they sounded great, really interesting, original, and a great beat. At the Sheffield battle of the bands their version of Sunshine Of Your Love was strictly UK pub rock ... well-played and they're clearly a good band, but all the bhangra was gone and with it the originality. What was that all about?
Thats exactly what I thought. I thought their sound was amazing in the rehearsal section and then it disappeared at the performance. I thought all the bands were better at the rehearsal stage personally (with the possible exception of the Liverpool indie band). I was happy with the two that did go through though, based on the performance.
The Quo and Wilko on the 29th. Not sure how I feel about it. My Mrs. wanted to go, having last seen the Quo in '79
Saw that combination at the BIC in December, it was a great night out. Both bands were on top form.

Liked that a lot.
*cough* I was involved with the Sheridan Smith 'Cilla' in a minor way and I was impressed with her singing
She was very good in the TV programme but doubt she would be on the US radar. Also she seems to be having personal issues at the moment, as she has pulled out of her West End show. Hopefully it is nothing too serious.

Getting a left handed bridge saddle is normally quite tricky from my experience. The nut is easy.

I have one. Good price, nice tones, looks superb and also nice and light. Its my main bass now.

Myles Kennedy (himself a Buckley fan) has a range over 4 octaves too. -
Love the chromes on my Squier VM Jazz, although it has been relegated to second bass by my Chowny, due to the latters less weight. Chromes will likely be fitted to the Chowny in the future too.
-
Love my Chowny, didn't take long at all to adjust to the short scale. Love the low weight even more. :-)
