  1. Well I ordered a Nano in the end, but then have returned it. it arrived just after the launch of the new V2 captures, and it did sound great, but ultimately I found only being able to have 1 capture per preset quite limiting. Also I found it annoying not being able to turn an effect on and off, and having to have two different presets, one with the effect and one without it. I was very impressed with the sound quality of the captures, especially the Tech 21 GED 2112. Aside from a Boss Katana Go, this was my first foray into digital effects, and I liked them a lot. I also found the app quite easy to use, and set up presets etc. Its a shame that Neural dont have a device that sits between the Nano and the full size QC, but I guess this is where the Anagram fills the gap. When I used the Nano powered by a USB battery pack, there was quite a lot of interference, which is something to watch out for. It was fine through headphones with the battery pack, and fine with the power supply through the amp, just not the battery pack.
  2. I read on some of the Neural DSP forums that you have to delete and reload the app for the new V2 captures to appear
  3. Am currently leaning towards the Nano (but will probably have changed my mind again by tomorrow!!!!) the thing that puts me most off the Anagram (and the full size QC) is having something so expensive on the floor, at great risk of being stepped on by the punters and having drink spilled on it. my Shure wireless pedal was almost taken out by a glass of wine at Saturdays gig, and even my brand new amp got a soaking!
  4. Very tempted to get one now. Torn between this and a Nano Cortex.
  5. These are on sale on a daily deal at Guitar Guitar for £849
  6. I have seen the HNB5’s on and off sale quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, so I am sure they will come back down again.
  7. Best - Ibanez EHB, currently my favourite bass. Worst - Markbass CMD combo which developed a fault and had to be returned.
  8. I’ve ordered the Rose Gold one, but it’s not due in until January. I had ordered a Strandberg Boden from Andertons a couple of weeks ago when they had them on offer, but it turned out to be ex display which was damaged so I had to cancel the order. The Hils is significantly cheaper, but still looks pretty cool.
  9. Played in Sevenoaks on Friday. My new amp had developed a fault and its replacement didn’t arrive on time. As such for the first time ever I had to go straight to the PA and use in ears. The gig went very well, but I found it a strange experience not having an amp behind me. Ours is quite a basic PA and so we could only put a bit of bass through it, but it all seemed to work OK and the crowd all seemed to enjoy it.
  10. Is the case that comes with the Anagram not very good?
  11. The Tech 21 Steve Harris does this, I have one and it’s great. It has two channels with shared EQ, but seperate volume and gain controls and is capable of the sounds you describe above
  12. Played in Maidstone at the weekend. Venue was pretty busy and all there seemed to enjoy it. We normally play as a 4 piece but were a guitarist down last night and played as a 3 piece. Gave my new Markbass combo a run out and I was impressed with the sound & volume it gave out. i am trying to gig with the least & lightest amount of gear possible, and this is definitely helping with that!
  13. Hi - I get this as well sometimes. Do you use the comfort cream when you put them in, as I find this helps a lot, along with pulling the top of your ear up and out as you put them in. How long have you had them, I have to change mine every few years due to changing ear shape. I once had to have a pair remade as they weren’t quite fitting correctly. ACS have great customer services and adjusted them for me, and they were much better.
  14. Thanks, I’ll I’ve a look into it. i don’t currently use a DAW or anything like that. I generally play along to the track on my headphones on the Katana go
  15. All those different keys are my worst nightmare!! I’ve depped a few times and all the songs have been in the original key/recorded version. i really struggle to practice & rehearse if I can’t play along to the original version.
