  1. Andertons are hosting a masterclass with Nolly & Sheldon Dingwall in Guildford on 27th Feb, £10 a ticket. i bought a ticket, it’s not going to help my GAS for an NG3 in Celestial Blue!
  2. The poly tune clip on is awesome, I wouldn’t be without it It’s far more accurate than the one on the Sansamp
  3. I used to have the original Terror 500 head as well, it was a great amp and very loud with the cab,but I moved it on a couple of years ago. I find that the cab sounds a bit muffled when the distortion is on from the Darkglass amp, so I have ordered a Darkglass Microtubes combo which is arriving this week. Due to random website pricing it was about £300 cheaper to buy the 2x10 combo than it was to buy a 2x10 cab.
  4. I played with The Paper Castles at Market House in Maidstone on Friday for valentines. The gig went pretty well, its the best local venue to play at in my opinion and it was busy. Ive been playing with these guys since September and now settled in with the setlist etc. Im now in two bands, as my other band doesn’t gig too much I managed to join this second band. However it’s quickly turning into number one band as it has a lot more gigs. We played a softer mix of dance, pop and rock ( 3 piece band), which is a nice contrast to the full on heavy rock of the other band (4 piece). Im getting some good use out of my Tech 21 Steve Harris pedal, as this band is softer I don’t need the heavy distortion from my Darkglass Alpha Omega amp. I’ve also been getting good use out of my 5 String Ibanez, as the extra string is helping with the more dance oriented songs. A good night all in all, albeit didn’t get home until 1.30 Rubbish picture of rig attached!
  5. Good news, it is a bit cheaper than the first edition as well. i had one and sold it, and then regretted selling it so I might grab another one.
  6. I don’t think I ever did register the warranty. I’ve had it since they were released so I would think any warranty would have expired anyways
  7. It’s just the unit on its own, not daisy chained to anything. I noticed it with a new active bass, need to try it with my old bass and see if that is the problem. as an aside I keep looking at getting the Tech 21 fly rig. I need a few FX in my band but haven’t got the patience for a big digital multi FX unit
  8. I love mine and use it all the time. I’ve started to notice that it doesn’t fully mute when I user the tuner though, which is annoying. It’s not the note from the bass coming through, more like a weird pulsing noise.
  9. Hoping to get a ticket for this. Also was at the reunion shows in ‘97. I was 17 then and now feeling old!
  10. There’s also the Roland Boss shop near Tottenham Court Road station. I’ve been in there before and heard them talking to customers on the phone.
  11. They already had them when I joined, however I think they were from Temu and £13 each from what they said. They have different colour settings, and powered by USB - C and are very effective, but they are very flimsy and lightweight. We use something similar in my other band, but usually have them round the drum kit, as seen in this picture.
  12. 1st gig of the year for me (and first in about a month) at The Duke Of Edinburgh in Maidstone. Nice venue and friendly staff etc. we had a decent space to play, it was a bit quite which we put down to the time of year, but those who were there enjoyed it. I am now used to playing my 5 string (after 30 years of playing 4 strings). The landlord booked us for a summer outdoor event, so that was a big positive.
  13. I was looking to order a V7 from Andertons and they said it would take 6 months as it would be made to order, and then sent to the UK on a very slow boat!
  14. Went to see Culture Club at the O2 last night. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I thought it was very good. it was my wife’s choice to go (I had to go with her after all the times I’ve made her come and see Iron Maiden with me lol) it was a good production and Boy George was in good voice. Mikey Craig was playing a nice 5 string Fender Jazz, the bass was very prominent in the mix and I enjoyed listening to that.
  15. I bought an Ibanez SRMS625EX in the summer which had 5 strings and fanned frets. I had never played a 5 string or fanned frets before. I got used to the fanned frets straight away but it had taken me longer to get used to the extra string, but now I have, I love the bass and the frets
