1. I'm off to see Mr Harris & co at the o2 this weekend. Cant wait
2. Up for sale is my Sharp Concepts custom made diamond cut metal scratch plate to fit a P bass. It was custom made in the USA in 2005 by Sharp Concepts. I had it fitted to a 2003 Fender MIM P Bass, but no longer have the bass so the pickguard is up for sale. A couple of pictures are attached, including one fitted to a bass (not included in the sale!). I'm after £25 posted ono. - now SOLD
3. our drummer mentioned cream coloured chino's.......
4. Thanks for all the responses and opinions. Me and the band are very much looking forward to it (which perhaps didnt come across in my original post), as its taken us 10 years to break into something like this and will be a nice change from pubs. Ill let you all know how it goes in a couple of weeks and maybe post a picture of the final outfits. Im off to M&S to purchase some slacks!
5. Don't get me wrong, im not being precious about it. It will just feel weird belting out guns n roses, bon jovi, stones etc in chinos! They booked us on the strength of a couple of YouTube videos in which our singer was wearing a glittery silver bandana and eye liner! Oh well, hopefully it will be a good gig
6.
If you don't like their terms, don't accept the gig.
We accepted the gig a while back, but have only just been informed of these conditions
7. Ha, slight typo on my original post, but I am tempted to wear a cocktail dress out of sheer bloody mindedness!!
8. We have a gig coming up at an RAF base soon which could be a big opportunity for us to get regular gigs at other bases. Firstly, does anyone have any experiene of playing at these places, if so what are they like? Secondly, we have been told that there is a dress code for people attending the event, including the band. They want chinos for men and cocktail dresses for women. We are a hard rock covers band and are going to end up looking like Michael Buble's backing band
9. Hi Theres a guitar shop in maidstone town centre called "music matters".
10. My bass was on here for nearly 4 months before it finally sold on gumtree. I had some interest on here, even to the point of arranging the details of delivery/meet up then the people just disappeared without even saying they'd changed their mind.
11. What a great gig. Possibly the best of the 12 times ive seen them. Roll on the o2 in August for number 13
12.
Hmm. I was there in '88. I also saw them in 2011 at the O2. There's a huge back catalogue but I would be surprised if they play much of it. They've moved on quite a bit. Think I have too now...
Setlist for this tour is based on the '88 show, largely drawn from Seventh Son. On the train on my way to Donington now and am even more excited than I was yesterday
13. Anyone going to this? Im heading up tomorrow and I am as excited as a very excitable person who has a special reason to be excited
14. Only had a quick go on it so far, but first impressions are good. It has a nice slim neck which is very easy to play and a good variety of tones. Its heavier than it looks though. Its my first non-fender bass for 10 years and so far its a nice change. Will post pics soon
15. Really pleased with my Pro17's from ACS Custom.Only gigged with them once, but they are much better than my old er15'S. They fit a lot deeper in the ear, and the extra 2db reduction makes a huge difference. Money well spent and will hopefully help to ward of deafness for a few more years
16. Pics to follow! Wrote the post on train on way to work and have no pixs to hand

18. Came home from a shopping trip to London on saturday with an unexpected new purchase - a spector legend from wunjo bass.p Ive been looking for another bass for a while and was considering a spector euro, but decided they were too expensive to take to our pub gigs. I was walking down Denmark street on Saturday and they had a lovely spector legend in the window which is now in my house! Its the first time I'd been in wunjo bass and I cant recommend it enough. Very relaxed, and the two guys working there were very helpful and friendly. Edit - now with picture Interestingly, I took took the back off to change the battery and the word "suk" had been scratched into the cavity about 15 times. I wonder if this is Korean for "solder" or very strange graffiti by the previous owner.
19. How on earth is this the bars fault? ?????
