The Dug one looks like it has a small headphone button on it, maybe they changed the design -
New Tech21 pedal Frank Bello (Anthrax) sig. Now with video demo.

This pedal sounds great. I have the Steve Harris version and I love it. I wish Tech 21 would include a better option for headphone use on these. The Steve Harris one is supposed to be able to power a set of headphones, but I have never had much luck in doing so -

Its really annoying, as it only seems to work properly at 50% of gigs. I pair it last after the other items are set up, but often just get a weird pulsating noise from my bass. I prefer using the Boss units rather than the Lekato ones as they don't move around as much -

At our gig last week we had 2 x lekato XLR on 5.8 and I was using lekato guitar wireless on 5.8 and everything seemed ok. i tried to soundcheck with my Boss WL-20 which I prefer to use, but it kept cutting out so switched to the Lekato guitar wireless. I am finding more and more that the Boss WL-20 doesn’t work properly at gigs anymore. -

I am using the Lekato 5.8ghz XLR mic transmitter set with Behringer P2. Its a bit bulky, but once it's clipped on my belt, I don't really notice it. It has really clear sound, and I have had no issues with it in the 6 or so gigs I have used it for now. I got mine off eBay for about £65, they are more expensive at Amazon at the minute, but the price seems to fluctuate all the time between Amazon & eBay. At our last gig, we had 3 things running on 5.8ghz with no issues. https://www.amazon.co.uk/LEKATO-Wireless-Microphone-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B099ZBHQ3C -

I do the same with my lekato 5.8, I plug an xlr cable into the mixer and the other other end into the transmitter and haven’t had any trouble. We stated using one for a wireless mic as well, but that goes straight into the mixer -

I have been to one before, and kind of cheated as I knew the band and their set list, and so learnt a few of there songs in advance. Unfortunately the ones I had learnt they played as the warm up to the evening 😂. in the end we had a run through of a few that I hadn’t prepared in advance and it was fine. There is a local one this Wednesday, and I am going to try and get to that.

I keep advertising for dep opportunities on Facebook and join my band, but limited success so far. I got offered a couple that were subsequently cancelled, and then one on a date that I couldn’t do. I am going to start going to some local jam nights to see if that leads to anything. These are well out of my comfort zone as I like to be prepared and rehearsed before playing, and am not at all comfortable with jamming and improvising, but will give it a go and see what happens.

I tried to put my KZ ZS10s into an old ACS custom molded pair of ear plugs. They just about fit sat at my desk, but I think if I was moving around playing they would fall out, unless I taped them to my ear, which I don’t really want to have to do. Am now looking at getting some ACS molded IEMs, but I also need some new molded ear plugs as my current ones are 5 years old and don’t quite seal properly. Need to decide which ones to prioritise as can’t really justify getting both at the minute -
He sings and plays guitar, so would be quite hard to get a dep for. It’s a frustrating situation but am trying to be proactive about it.

We played Club Foot on NYE and I have to go into 100% concentration mode for the solo. To my amazement, people were singing along to the bass solo, something I’ve never experienced before! This meant I had to concentrate even harder, to try and zone out the drunks!

The brain works in funny ways. I was struggling with Long Train Runnin by The Doobie Brothers before Christmas. I had a look again yesterday after a few weeks break and got it no problem. This year I am trying to work on songs that are outside of my normal rock/indie genre to try and widen & improve my playing.

Thats great to have so many gigs booked for 2024 already. We've got 11 booked so far, but one of members doesn't want to commit to anymore, which is frustrating so I am busily trying to find dep opportunities or a second band

You get used to it. Mine clanks on the fretboard every now and again and has taken a bit of laquer off the underside of the neck but nothing visible whilst playing. I have to turn my bass upside down to even see it

one of the cameras that we set up to record our NYE gig got accidentally set to time lapse mode, so we ended up with a three hour gig condensed into 1 minute https://www.facebook.com/reel/7045610022162924/?app=fbl

lol - its non alcoholic beer as well as am always driving

We generally push it most at the end of the gig, with something like "we'll play another song if you buy us a beer" kind of thing. The tip jar is labelled as "beer money" as well. The way I see it is that if people are having a good time and want to buy a beer/chuck in a couple of quid then that's great, but if not that's also great, as long as they are having a good time
-
We started doing doing it as we played our first few gigs for free, just to get going. so we took the tip jar (a £1 bucket from B&Q with a flyer stuck on it) to try and make a little bit of cash and have just taken it ever since. The most we have got is £90 and the least was £0
-
We got 10p in our tip jar last night 😂 we think the problem was that it was a very young audience (20s/early 30s) and everyone was paying at the bar using Apple Pay and no longer using cash

They were ones that we were going to cut if we were running out of time to get to midnight. As it turned out we had plenty of time so played everything. ps you are not being thick as I also had to ask what they meant 😂

Back home from our NYE eve gig at The Oak in Sevenoaks. We had our first gig as a band here earlier in the year and so it was nice to be back. gig went well, the pub was very busy but it took a while for the dance floor to fill up, but when it did it was chaos. Drinks being spilled everywhere, mic stand & iPad knocked over, people walking across the band area and tripping over our cable etc, I am amazed that nothing got broken. the very drunk crowd did spoil the enjoyment of the gig due to constantly having to keep an eye on the equipment. I had to move my couple of pedals to the back of the stage by my amp due to spilled drinks. we ended up moving some of the songs around to try and be more adaptive and reactive to the crowd. We initially dropped Club Foot but then ended up playing it just before midnight. The crowd were singing the bass solo, which was a very bizarre experience as no one has ever sung along to a bass solo at a gig before! overall it was good fun and only half an hour from home. The main downside of today was getting some of the band lights out of the garage and discovering a leak

I don’t have a tab to hand, but when I used to play this in an old band I used to jam around the three (I think) chords F, G#, A#
