    This is my full board that I put together for one of my signal paths for a DnB band but I've come to use it for lots of different projects. The Pedals all have heavy-duty hook tape on the underside but I was careful not to put too much on. ZVex Woolly Mammoth £130: I got this pedal around 2004. It’s a nice hand-painted job and different to most of the Mammoths I’ve seen. I used it to clip my signal into square wave territory with the DnB band and loved the sound it created. I’ve seen loads of clones recently but not many originals. Probably my favourite fuzz. Flightcase Warehouse Pedalboard £70: This is a big, sturdy flightcase. Sturdier than my Diago but also a bit heavier. The internal board has been coat with heavy-duty hoop tape but I never take that out of the chassis. The internal dimensions are 73cm x 39cm. Feel free to PM me with questions. Trades I’m not after: electric basses or other pedals. Trades I want: Double Basses and DB preamps. By all means offer everything else but I’m saving for a DB (or my newborn daughter, whichever my wife prefers!!)

I'll give it a go! I was kinda hoping for a little power amp box. I found a tiny 30w TDA2030 power amp circuit on eBay which looked simple enough (and the size of a credit card) but when I started to look into how to power it I realised I have no bloody clue about all that and would probably end up crispy if I gave it a go!! Anyone done any TDA2030 amp builds? Dan

    I have a Hartke A35 that I put in storage for a while and on taking it out, discovered a fault. I sent it to an amp tech who said there's a fault on the board that wouldn't be worth fixing. So now I've got a nice enclosure, a nice speaker, but no 'head' section. I have a LM250 but I'm worried the little Hartke speaker won't take that level. Any suggestions on a solution? Any micro, low-watt heads around? Thanks!

    Hi there, For sale is the case that my NS Design CR4M came in (I upgraded mine).There are two bags; one suitable for the bass and another suitable for a tripod stand. The main case is a cylinder and its internal dimensions of 135cm long and a circular diameter of 18 cm. The main case doesn't have a shoulder strap, but these can be easily replaced from any other bit of kit. Dan

    Hi there, This Hartke A35 has a fault in the power amp stage (diagnosed by me and confirmed by an amp tech) which means that there is no signal coming from the speaker. He suggested the problem was somewhere on the PCB and it wasn't worth me paying him to repair it. The speaker is in perfect condition (10 inch, very nice sounding Hartke aluminium job), the enclosure is not too heavy and in great condition too, and the preamp can probably be used too (although my limited knowledge means I don't know how). I can post it but at 14kg it'd probably be best collected. I live in Bolton and work in Manchester and I'm happy to meet halfway. Thanks Dan

    I'm borrowing this bass and it has a pickup installed. It's missing a clip but looks like it has been attached using putty too; I'm just wondering what pickup it is? Thanks!

    Which amp did you go for? If I could find a tiny power amp it'd be enough.

    I've got an A35 I got out of storage a while back but I recently sent it to an amp tech. He said the fault is in the power amp section (consistent with the fact I get a tiny headphone signal from the effects out). What should I do? If the problem is in the power section then I've got a working preamp and nice speaker. Can I just get a little power amp from somewhere? It'd have to be tiny! Or do I just try and sell the speaker? I'm not keen to sink the £150 or so into a valve amp kit but my father-in-law has experience with audio building. Your help is appreciated!!

    I spent my youth as a classical upright player and I'm currently planning my move from NS CR4M (with Helicores) to a Thomann 2W TN. I've been practicing with a Manouche quartet and I'm interested in adding a bit of slap to the set (Dubouchet-style) but since we're hopefully be busking unamped I have to consider the balance between volume and ease of slapping. What would everyone's string recommendations be to be loud, considering I'll be playing mostly pizz with some slap? Thanks!
