1. A Boss TU2 at the beginning of your pedal board would allow you to split your signal as it has 2 jack outputs. You could plug 1 output into your clean amp and 1 into the rest of your effects chain/2nd output. LS2 / SFX likewise. Dan
2. Doesn't it come back to your core tone? Whether you want your chorus to sound older or more modern? Dan
3. I drive a 1.9 Doblo. Trip 1 - Cab, Rackbag Trip 2 - Pedalboard 1, Pedalboard 2 Trip 3 - Guitar amp, Pedalboard 3 Trip 4 - Guitar, Bass, Bass amp Trip 5 - Cables, Cab stand, Keyboard stand, keyboard That's all my gear! Playing midi/guitar/bass in a DnB project gear heavy! It winds me up when I'm the first to show and no-one will help! Dan
4. Also, when plugging into your amp, you should try plugging into the 'Effects Return' plug. That way, you bypass the amp's preamp (using your amp as a poweramp and cab) which will give you a more authentic reproduction of the pod's tone. Dan

Too much fuzz?

I'm sure someone here built a clone with an added blend circuit. That would be an option that would definitely appeal to me. That or a Death By Audio Fuzz War (to hell with clean). Dan
6. My Darkstar'd monster. I'm seriously considering making this the fretless.
7. The BMS is the unnassuming monster in the corner. What's the term for a group of moogerfoogers? A gaggle? Agog? Dan
8. I bought a VMJ fretless (with ebanol fretboard) and a CV Oly white Jazz and swapped the necks. Dan
9. A stereo volume pedal would have two discrete (separate) signal paths, both of which would be controlled equally with the expression pedal. Ernie Ball, Visual Sound, Mission Engineering - All of these are highly rated manufacturers that make stereo volume pedals. The only issue I'd consider is impedance as most stereo pedals are for use with keyboards rather than instrument-level signals.
10. Loving that rig, Smash. I have a thing for tiny cabs. Chic!
11. I'd call any local guitar shops/rehearsal rooms and get their prices (your local music service will no doubt also have freelance teachers) and base your prices on them. Also, target demographic matters a lot. I had a targeted marketing strategy that brought me in a lot of good pupils but the majority of my students ended up being 30+ (that marketing strand must've been more successful). That meant my students practiced and improved but that meant I had more preparatory work to do (baring in mind my students each got their own lesson plan, backing CD at 5 tempos and worksheets to complete). I gave it up after breaking my arm and getting used to Sunday lie-ins and the day with my partner! Dan
12. I did the first lesson for free since it'll mostly be chatting about what they want to achieve and showing off on your part as a means to hook them. Then it was £20p/h after that. I just did hour-long lessons and my overheads were low too (this is something you should take into account). Dan
13. I highly recommend registering with Sentric Music [CLICK] for all things industry-based. They offer great advice, the industry blog is insightful for any artist plus they do all the royalty collection for a small commission as opposed to registering with the agencies and paying the full fees. They're revolutionising the unsigned/indie music industry at the mo. Plus, if you register you get sent all the requests for syncs (basically advert music). Dan
14. Hi Sue, I use the voicetone synth. Very well made and good support (Software updates etc) as well as very cool sounds. TC do consistently make some great products. Dan
15. Graphic EQ Pedal?
16. I have a large Flightcase Warehousse board, a large Diago board and a small Spider board. The Spider is the better designed of the three simply because of the gel cushion on the underside of the handle. As such, it's very comfortable to carry whilst the Flightcase WArehouse one can be a bit painful (i pack my boards too!). Dan
17.
My 4u has my Axon Terratec Pitch-to-Midi convertor and my Novation Supernova Rack synth. It's a killer box of tricks that can produce more low end than any 'real' bass!!! (Except maybe the Doodle). DaN
MIDI Bass. Had no idea I've been at it so long. Supernova went and I started buying pedals. Damn pedals!
18. After seeing my mate's guitar smashed after falling from the wall onto his weights set I though a 7-stand to be a better idea. Dan
19. I'll add delays and I'm the process of my next blog (routing) then I reckon controllers. Thanks guys for all the input and suggestions. I may try and get this stuff edited and published. Expect credit where it's due! Dan
20. New blog titled 'Implementation of Modular Synthesis for the Bass Guitarist'. Got any additions I should be including? Dan
21. Best. Singing. Ever.
22. And here's a lesson to all you budding sellers. Bump late, bump infrequently. Dan
23. I've found that to maintain the overall texture of the band, blend is really necessary. I love high-gain distortion but I can't use it without blending/bi-amping. Dan
24. I've got a DHA VT2 Dual and it has its limitations. Thankfully these have been ironed out in the VT2 Twin (as far as I can see). I run mine at the end of a chain for beyond-crazy-dragon-waking-sonic-annihilation. Dan
