Free to a new home, good or bad. The CD player is a bit temperamental (who uses CDs these days anyway, right) but the DAB and audio in functions work as they should and is how I have used it for the last few years. On that note, I can through in the Bluetooth receiver too so you can connect and control it from your phone/tablet etc.. Just thought I would offer it up here before lugging it to the E waste place. I do have the original box so could post at cost but would much prefer collection from London NW6. Thanks

Yeh good demo right up until he introduced the Poly Mode Range control where he lost me. Am I correct in thinking that the Range knob only really operates when playing full chords/intervals? Slightly confused.

Have to say I am a lot more impressed with that than I was expecting. Anyone know when they might become available? I'm itching to buy a new pedal and this could be it.

I was quoted approx. £1000 for a fairly standard P bass build in July but was told the order books are full right now. Still waiting to hear from Mark regarding when he can accept orders again.

What's involved in changing a 5-string to high C?
cLepto-bass replied to Rob MacKillop's topic in Accessories and Misc
I've had my Sandberg 5 string tuned E-C for years. I didnt make any changes at all but the zero fret helps though they are not common. -
Been doing this for years even with distortion/overdrive pedals with dedicated blend control. Great option assuming you got pedal board space. Also, having an LS2 in your arsenal is well worth it.

I have owned the magnificent Strymon Timeline for a couple of years now and have loved it. However, in recent months I have noticed that I have only really been using it for 2 settings; 1) Swell delay, and 2) Trem delay. Therefore, I am considering replacing the Timeline with options targeted to those specific uses. Obviously for the swell setting, I can just use a volume or swell pedal along with a simpler delay pedal so there is no problem there. However, I am struggling to come up with an approach that best replicates the Trem setting which, if you didn't already know, adds a fully customise-able tremolo effect to the delay trails only. So, my question is - does anybody know of a single pedal or modified workaround that can replicate this effect? Note that I am aware of the EHX Deluxe Memory Man which has an effect loop for such a use but I have previously owned that pedal and I didn't get on with it at all. So any other suggestions? Thanks

A few people have mentioned how aging differs between poly and nitro finishing - with that in mind how are the Limelight basses finished? I've been thinking of getting a black jazz with light relicing.

Blooming marvelous that. Out of interest, what strings (brand set/gauges etc.) are you using for the E-F tuning option?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for suitable string sets for a short scale bass (28.6") tuned to the A D G C configuration?

Yeh this is the kind of genuine practical insight I am after because I have no idea about the strengths/limitations of the options.

Lately I have been toying with the idea of have a 'silent' rehearsal/practice option at home so as to keep noise to a minimum. Thankfully, I pretty much own everything that I would need: MarkBass LMII DI'd into Focusrite Scarlet interface (I think that sounds suitable but please inform me if that is erroneous). So anyway, the bit I would like advice on is the headphones. I am not really sure what sort I am after as my experience with them is limited but I would like clean and clear (alas Markbass) and obviously be able to handle and put out the bottom end with a thud. I would be very interested to hear anybodies thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Very happy Truetone CS6 user here. Highly recommended.

Mr Black Eterna has been my go to shimmer reverb pedal for years. I've actually got 2 of them but thinking of putting one for sale soon if that is of interest?

Ah ha. Makes total sense.

Out of interest, how do you stick the ramp to the body?

So for some strange reason Pedaltrain don't offer the Nano with a hard case. To me this seems like a crazy oversight especially since my Nano setup currently has just under £1k worth of pedals attached to it which I want protected in a hard shell. So my question is does anyone have any suggestion regarding suitable aftermarket hard case options that can house a fully loaded Nano? I don't mind if the case it slightly larger than the board but the whole reason I downsized to the Nano in the first place was to limit how much I had to carry on public transport. Also, it would be a massive bonus if the case comes with a shoulder strap option! Obviously I have had a look online but just haven't manged to find something that ticks all the boxes so thought I would pick the collective Basschat brain... As always, all input is greatly received.

I do find myself in agreement with this. I would go for functionality over aesthetics in this regard.
