1. New price: £400 Hi mates! I would like to put up for sale my TC Electronic BH800 and its footswitch. It's near mint, with no remarkable signs or scratches and everything works as it should. It's a very light head: 3kg. It gives 800w at 4 ohms and 450w at 8 ohms; so it means that you have enough power to knock down your house. It also has an onboard tuner. The most outstanding innovation in this model is that it features the TONE PRINT: you have two channels on which you can load lots of different TC effects and change them according to your necessities just by using a very easy free app on your mobile phone. Also included is the footswitch that allows you to mute the amp and choose between "clean" and the two toneprints. No trades, thanks.
2. Do you know the weight of both of them? Nice basses. Congrats.
3. Nice instrument! Is it possible to remove the mute?
4. Hi mates! I’m putting up my Suzuki P bass made in Japan in the late 70s for sale. It has no serial number so it’s very difficult to know the exact date. This instrument has a bit of history. I bought a few months ago as a Tokai, and despite my doubts, I bought it because of its “growl”. I even had an email from Tokai Japan saying it’s a real Tokai, but I must be honest and say it’s more than likely to be a Suzuki. Here you’ll find the whole story, if you’re interested: http://www.tokaiforu...der=asc&start=0 This is a good Precision. The neck is maple and the body could be sen ash. It’s quite well-built, with the Japanese attention to details. Everything’s original, except the headstock logo. The instrument isn’t mint as you will guess. It has been used, so it has some small dings and scratches, but like you see in the pictures, it’s general conditional is pretty good for its age. The neck is fantastic, straight and with a mid action. It has an oldie neck profile, which I presume is U, but I don’t find it specially hard to play, so maybe I’m wrong. I have gigged it several times and it’s quite comfortable and very responsive. The bass weighs 4kg and it’s balanced. The pickups sound massive. It has the sought-after growl of the first Precisions, with fat and defined low-mids. I have just recorded something for you to check it. Three takes: first fingers with drums, second fingers alone, pick alone https://soundcloud.com/vaiges/suzuki The bass is in Barcelona, and it’s no trouble in shipping it anywhere in Europe. I’ll throw in a used hardshell case for the shipping. Now some pics. I can take some more on request. I'll answer any doubts. Thanks.
5. Pete and I swapped basses. Excellent man to deal with and very communicative. The bass is as stated. It arrived on schedule. 100% trustworthy. I would strongly recommend anything he sells or buys.
6. I think I'm ready to part with this fantastic hollow body bass. The reason why I'm doing this is because I have too many basses, and this is the one that is getting the least attention. It’s a Gretsch Electromatic G5440LSB (long scale bass). It was made in 2014. It’s nearly mint, in an excellent condition: no dings, only some tiny scratches which are hard to see. The feature that makes it so special is its 34” long neck. The neck profile is similar to that of a modern Precision, so it’s quite comfy. Both the body and the neck are maple. The fingerboard is rosewood with jumbo frets. It features two humbuckers. The controls are: a three-way pickup selector, neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, one tone. Everything on the bass has a good quality: hardware, tuners, bridge, pots, etc. It’s a very light and balanced instrument. I have achieved what I reckon it’s a quite low and comfortable action. Surprisingly, it has NO DEAD POINTS. The instrument is in Barcelona. I can ship anywhere in Europe (shipping not included in the price). It comes with a used gigbag that protects the bass. I’m not interested in trades, unless you have a good P: Moolon (longing for one of them), old Tokai, Squier JV - you name it. I can email more pics if required. Thanks.
7. Beautiful instrument! Pity you don't want trades. Good luck.
8. This is a very beautiful and interesting bass guitar. It reminds me of my old Ibanez Roadstar II rb650: same colour, same neck, same pickup distribution. I wonder how they sound and play. Good luck with the sale.
9. I bought a bass off Greg and must say it's been a pleasure. The transaction was as smooth as it can get. The bass was very well packed and kept in touch between the shiiping and the delivery. 100% trustable.
10. Top basschatter. I got a TC Electronic BH800 from Petri and everything went very smooth. The amp was even better than expected. I fully recommend dealing with him.
11. Beautiful instrument! Do you know the weight?
12. Excellent Stingray! I've listened to it and it's got that pre-EB sound we're all after. Premium seller too. Good luck.
13. Hi! As beautiful as can be! Do you know its weight? Is it nitro coated? Thanx.
14. Beautiful Sandberg! Do you know the weight? Thanx
15. I had one of these from the very same year. The PUs are correct. They have the date handwritten on them. They have a split coil, like a P pu. In my case, the N3 letter printed on the pu cover started to disappear due to grazing. Perhaps that's what happened here. By the way, I swapped the N3s for a Jess Loureiro handmade pickups in the end. I was trying to find the classic passive JB. But that's another story. Hope I have been of any help
16. Nice Jazz! What pickups does it feature? Thank you.
17. Hi. What's the weight? Thanks
18. I took it apart last weekend and I thought it would be a good a idea to show you the guts of the instrument. Everything fitted perfectly afterwards as expected.
19. Thanks for all your comments. Someone put up an ad on a Spanish secondhand webpage. The funniest thing is that I was the only interested in it. It seems that the man who owned it got it when a courier company he was working for closed down. There were many thing and the workers shared them. Among them were some Ibanez boxes. The man took the box home and went straight into his garage, where was left unopened. Nobody noticed it until one month ago when his son-in-law spotted it. That's the story, as simple as can be.
20. This is my first post in this section. I felt I had to share my new bass guitar as it’s a really special one. It’s not been long since I started to feel much more attracted to old (vintage) bass guitars than to new (modern) ones. I’m always on the outlook for basses as I’m a bit curious, and there comes the time when you find what I consider it to be an extraordinary jewel and you can’t get hold of yourself: an 1984 P/J Ibanez Roadstar II (made in Japan). The best part of it all is not that it’s an excellent instrument, for me far better than present MIA bass guitars (nevermind the brand, though it’s too risky a thing to say), but the fact that it’s BRAND NEW. Yes, as if I had travelled back in time 31 one years and brought an out-of-the-factory instrument in 1984. Is it possible? Yes. It has been forgotten in its original UNOPENED cardboard box, until one month ago someone wondered what was inside that box that read Ibanez. It has its original plastic bags (one ofr the bass and the other one for the hardcase) and the pickguard plastic protection. It even had the orignal strings except one. Nobody opened that box. Incredible. Untouched. With it's original hardshell case, not a fingerprint on it as well. A dream come true for any lover of vintage instruments. For those who don’t know these series, the bass is clearly based on a Fender Precision, with minor changes. It weighs 4kg (9lb). It’s 34” scale and has 21 frets. The electronics are passive and the pickups are Ibanez “SuperP4/SuperJ4”. The case is not fabulous: it's made of laminated veneer lumber covered with imitation leather. It doesn't look like "bump-resistant", but it's far better than gigbags. The neck isn’t wide (4cm at the nut) and I think it has a C profile, though I’m not so sure about it. It has a very thin layer of coat (which I find very comfortable), different from modern Japanese instruments (FenderJB Marcus Miller o Geddy Lee). It’s a one-piece maple neck. It’s damn straight and responded perfectly when I tighten the truss rod to adjut the action to my liking. The frets are lowered or sanded (don’t know if before or after being on the neck, but guess before). This gives it a touch of vintage sound that I liked, as well as make it possible to chieve a low action, as it reduces the buzzing. I can’t see the wood of the body, but according to specs it must be basswood, a kind of cheap timber used in Japan for mid-series. I kind of like it because it features good and defined lows; however, I must admit that sometimes I miss the good and clean highs of ash timber. You can’t have everything! The finish and details are really good; for example, the neck fits in perfectly in the body. In many aspects, the workers in Hoshino Gakki were skilled and knew what they were doing. The bass sounds really nice and clean. There’s no humming or any other annoying small noises. The pots are in perfect working order. The magnets on the pickups ae allen screws, which I guess they can be adjust in height according to the needs. Something I didn’t like about it is that the bridge pickup has a lowoutput when compared to the bridge one. The truth is that when you mix it with the neck pickups it makes the sound more compressed and clear, in my opinion. If you want to know what these Ibanez were like right out of the Gakki factory, here you’ll find the best example possible. And the best part is yet to come: a video (the first time, hahaha) and some pics. VIDEO: https://www.youtube....h?v=xm9UqOXMkcE
