1. My daughter (9) has an Ibanez Mikro which is probably still too large for her. (Doesn't stop her though ) On a slight tangent, does anyone have any recommendations for a decent strap for a short 9 year old? Every one I've seen leaves the bass round her ankles.
2. How about https://www.bbc.co.uk/proms ?
3.
S'good, and still funny, but parody of the sort can only be produced after the original, not before, the point being that Sgt Pepper's was there first. The mockery (and tributes...) came afterwards, when it's too late; the ground had already been broken. There are many pianists that perform some piece or other 'in the style of' Handl, Mozart, Prokofiev then Bartok (other composers are available...). Entertaining, but those composers are still as great, simply because they created their own recognisable style, as did the Beatles in their own domain.
Agree 100%. One of the reasons the parody works is because the original it is based on is so instantly identifiable.
4. Not a patch on these guys https://youtu.be/FqkGFvVXfsE (I'll get my coat)
5.
I've just bought this and it seems very good. 7. The bass line for All Right Now has no notes until you get to the chorus.
8.
It's the other one I'm trying to figure out lol! Ah well, might message him on Facebook and see if he can tell me! Can you remember the name of that Brazillian drummer? That guy was a monster!
Cleverson? Yeah, a real beast.
9.
Was anyone in the Scott Devine masterclass on the Saturday? What were the 3 tunes they played? I know one of them was a Meters tune but the other two I have no idea but the riffs have been stuck in my head ever since!
The first one was Look Ka Py Py, the last was Chameleon. Can't help on the other one I'm afraid.
10.
Maybe the Linda Ronstadt version?
Or possibly the Linda Peters (aka Thompson)/Sandy Denny version on The Bunch album (basically Fairport Convention + mates)
11. I think you picked the number one already.
12. These do it for me
13. Much as I love Lindisfarne, I could never understand why they did this one
14. From the TOP facebook page it looks like Marc is the more seriously injured. David was "lucid" and expected to recover, Marc had to have surgery to stop internal bleeding and is in intensive care. Doctors are "cautiously optimistic" according to Emilio Castillo.
15. There can only be one

17.
In fact, if you type in "Guitar money box" there are loads. Unfortunately I can only find one Bass, and that's a R**k. http://www.ebay.co.u...TUAAOSwA4dWIiqk
It's probably a fake
18. It all rather depends on what you want to achieve. I've got one, and beyond changing the strings and giving it a good setup, the only thing I'd do is refinish the body (I'm not a great fan of relicing, but for the price, the bass was too good to pass up).
19. Interesting. I've got a similar one. Same colour but a maple fret board and volume, tone and pickup selector switch. No way I'd sell it though.
20. Didn't see them mentioned above. Little Feat are always worth checking out. https://youtu.be/S1AWV3F8muI
21. I think these sum it up https://youtu.be/DtZR3lJobjw https://youtu.be/ew6rVcL3Up8
22. Jack Casady on Hot Tuna's Candyman or Danny Thompson on John Martyn's Solid Air
