I'm appealing to the collective wisdom of the community for my first post.
The bass in the attached picture was the first I ever had, it was given to me for Christmas about 25 years ago when I was just starting on the bass guitar. I don't play it that often these days but am curious to try and work out what on earth it is.
It looks like a Fender fretless but there are no markings or serial numbers to confirm that, only a 'Heron Music' Sticker on the back of the headstock. I believe the pickups are DiMazzio Blades but other than that I haven't got a clue.
Any help would be gratefully received as I really ought to get it properly insured.
