  1. Out of stock. Now do I wait for the next batch to be produced, or for yours to start appearing on the Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale area? Whichever, I want one ๐Ÿ˜‚
  2. There is your answer, look - in your original post! ๐Ÿ˜‹
  3. When I last saw him his tiny silver sequined shorts were somewhat obscured by his belly. The time before that (The Neon tour) he was in a blue silk basque - a much better look. Yes, gotta love a bit of flamboyance
  4. The last time I saw him was an unforgettable experience. Not necessarily in a good way. He might just have had one too many cans of Tango that day
  5. Yes, just like all those Sunday league players being drip-fed by the Premier League ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. It's not "dynamic pricing", it's "price gouging". Blatant profiteering imho
  7. Didn't it all start with the sax solo back in the days of rock and roll? Ok, guitarists usually take a few extra bars than the saxes used to, or possibly need hitting over the head with a mic stand to actually stop widdling, but they didn't invent the concept
  8. Personally I'd either go for... Or that Ampeg 108 that Reggaebass linked - I have one myself and so does my son. It's a bit larger than the Rumble though, but definitely sounds like a proper bass amp at low volume My main amp is a Rumble 500, and if the 15 has a fraction of the sound it would be up to the job
  9. It certainly helps in the "being an obnoxious arsehole" stakes, which seems to be one of their USPs
  10. Can they keep a lid on it for the sake of ยฃXXXm? Probably not.
  11. As Dad3353 says, you're spoilt for choice with that budget, especially if you are happy to buy second hand. If you do buy used, you won't lose much money if you decide it doesn't suit you and move it on. Have a browse through the classifieds and see what takes your fancy. Personally I'm happy to gig my Sire, which cost around ยฃ600 new a couple of years ago - but then I wanted a 5-string precision, which are not that common second hand and within budget. Before that a spent a few years playing a Squier P-bass that cost me only ยฃ150 second hand from these forums. The quality of "cheap" basses is so much better than it used to be years ago. Perhaps do a little YouTube research and see which basses sound good to you for the type of music you'll be playing (precision, jazz, Musicman, Gibson EB, etc). Being a DB player you'll probably want a full scale bass (34" or above) rather than a short scale (30" or less) Now prepare yourself for 101 suggestions as to which brand and model to get...
  12. I'm fed up of being treated like a sex object. Watch the fingers, not the face! ๐Ÿ˜ Seriously though, it's not something I'd consider doing. Take me as you find me, or leave me there. I don't even have a tattoo and stopped wearing an earring 30 years ago Good luck!
  13. Funnily enough (OP) my guitarist is in Martin Turner's band when he's not larking about with me. They even had to stop using the name "Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash", although all of the flight cases are still sprayed "MTWA". It's now "Martin Turner ex-Wishbone Ash" The lawyers made a lot of money on that one. Pretty sad really
  14. The Smell of Another Man's Funk Faffing in the Verses The Inevitable Originals (Some suggestions based on some weird packing up conversations tonight, and the OP)
  15. The J pickup in my PJ bass. It gets used for one song that we play in maybe 1 out of 6 gigs we do Followed by every other bass I own and very rarely play at a gig
  16. We've always been a narco-syndicalist commune. We take it in turn to act as sort of an executive officer for the week. But all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting, by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs, or by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major...
  17. What's the best post-it note for metal? Yes! Got it in first! ๐Ÿ˜œ
  18. FTFY, with added passive aggression ๐Ÿ˜‰
  19. Oh my goodness. That is pure pornography! I love the looks and thought of a Stingray, but a P-bass suits my band better, plus not enough strings. But still... phwoar! GLWTS

    Oldman Feedback

My son and I just went over to see Brian and a rather lovely Cort 5-string jazz. We left Brian there but took the bass with us! Lovely chap and a very smooth transaction. Thanks Brian! ๐Ÿ˜€ Edit: Forgot to say, I'm very jealous of Brian's "bass den" ๐Ÿ˜
  21. Practice amps don't count, right?
  22. Just my Fender Rumble v3 500 combo, and the old Peavy Databass combo it replaced - which is buried under stuff in the garage, as a spare just in case Edit: I love how you've added a "cetera" option on the survey ๐Ÿ˜‚
