1. We are debating this at present, we're not quite gig ready, but trying to work out the best place to slot them in... Looking at doing Fleetwood Mac 'Man Of The World' and The Rolling Stones 'Love In Vain'...
2. Always thought he was a massive, egotistical bell-end, but he is just getting downright embarrassing now......... http://www.bbc.co.uk...mark-zuckerberg
3. Went home from work and put WTTP on after reading this thread earlier. 😀
4. I'm thoroughly devoid of gigs for the foreseeable sadly, other than Muse at the Hydro in April and The Cure at Wembley Arena in December. Far too long a wait though...!
5. Gee whizz, I can feel Amazon getting a doing now, after reading through the full thread...!!!
6. The Cure's "Disintegration"...just qualifies at May 1989...
7. I think that's one of the reasons why it sits idle for such long periods of time if I'm honest............ Sorry, I'm sidelining this thread......I'll bow out now.
8.
Ha Ha .... this is terrible we're all awful ... Lou how much do you want for that 75 Avri .... if its white i could be in trouble
Your alright then mate, it's Candy Apple Red, with matching headstock...
9. Whilst mine isn't an 'antique', I'm finding myself in a similar conundrum. I've a 2002 Fender Jazz '75 AVRI FSR which is in pristine condition, but a few rehearsals aside, it has been pretty much sitting idle in its case since I traded it with Karlfer from this here parish back in Dec 2013. But it's an absolutely cracking bass, and although I haven't quite 'gelled' with it to date, I'm not sure that I'm ready to part with it even though for the last 12-18 months or so I've always found myself over-looking it for either my Lakland Skyline JO or Decade. Don't think it has even been out the case in 6-months...I hope it's still there when I go back...!!

11.
and this is the only 50's one they're selling in the UK so far I think - http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-fsr-japan-classic-50s-p-bass-vintage-white/123080?gclid=CjwKEAiAw4e1BRDfi7vghaWU9jESJACzo9ju82WLy5kLdsIeMGLaB94QWTAF7ZI5kh8GXYOYjMQs3BoCy-Tw_wcB
That link has done nothing but fuel my current P-bass GAS to an even higher level...!!
12. Saw her playing live with Bowie at the SECC in Glasgow back in 2003 for The Reality Tour... She absolutely nailed Freddie Mercury's lines on Under Pressure...
13. Apologies beforehand for posting a link to the Daily Record, however this has been doing the rounds up here... 14. Absolutely gutted at this news this morning. I was lucky enough to see him live, just the once, during The Reality Tour in the SECC Glasgow back in November 2003. We managed to get in early enough to get right down the front. It is still what I consider to be the best gig I've ever been to this day.
15. I agree there seems to be a heck of a lot of first time posts looking purely to use the Marketplace for a means to sell their gear. Personally I'd be particularly reluctant and wary buying off any new member with an exceptionally low post count, with no feedback experience nor had made the effort to have at least some dialogue elsewhere on the forum. Perhaps prohibit new members access to the Marketplace until they have, say for talking sakes, a 50-post count. That way they are contributing to the community as a whole rather than just popping up, pinging in an advert and never to be seen again other than the occasional "BUMP". Just my tuppence worth.
16. Careful what you do here as I'm kinda regretting offloading mine not so long ago... If I had the disposable income right now, I'd be taking this off you right here and now...!!!
17. I was thoroughly thankful of Suede being on the other side at the same time on Saturday night... Saved me having to buy a new television on the Sunday for one thing...
18. As a direct comparison, would it be expected to be any difference in volume between flats and rounds? I've just bought my first fretless this week and as such, it's also my first experience with flats. It's a Squier Jazz, the modded Burgunday Mist one which was being sold via here earlier this week. Just from my initial plays at home, I was surprised at how quiet it appears in comparison to the other three basses I have which are all fitted with rounds - all passive btw, Fender AVRI Jazz, Lakland JO Dudepit and Lakland Decade. So, is a quieter tone to be expected from flats?
19. I bought Tim's recently advertised Squier Fretless Jazz - dressed up as a Fender '62 - in a transaction that was as painless and as simple as it was swift. Chuffed to bits with the bass and well worth the price it was quoted, including p&p. Pleasure dealing with Tim and I'd have absolutely no qualms to do so again. Cheers, Dougie.
20. Love the black / maple finish. Owned its little 4-string sister not too long ago until I traded it with Karlfer of this here parish. Keenly priced, so shouldn't hang around too long I'd reckon, GLWTS.
21. My first venture into the fretless world......
